Thailand NYE questions?

Thailand NYE questions?

Sup Guys, I am looking for some ideas for Thailand around New Years. I will be flying into Bangkok for a day or two then am meeting a friend in Phuket and have about 5 days before I fly out of Phuket airport.

I have been to thailand before and don't want to be in Patong with all the whores and drunk ass brits. I have never been to Phi Phi however.

So my questions:
1)Where should i celebrate NYE? Phi Phi? Its the full moon on NYE so might be a cool party involving that.
2)Is there ANY area in Phuket Island that is not whore city? I want only western chicks... Thai girls don't do it for me... Plus lady boys scare the shit out of me. [Image: biggrin.gif]

I have 7 days total so i was thinking:
2 days in Bangkok
1 day in Phuket (gotta wait for my friend to fly in)
3 days in Phi Phi (are there other islands I should hit also? Kho Lanta?
1 day back in Phuket before flying out.

Thanks! [Image: tard.gif][Image: tard.gif]

What's up with all the guys coming to Asia in search of white girls?! Seems to be a trend on here lately.

PM me for accommodation options in Bangkok.

Have fun spending 75% of your trip running from place to place.

In all fairness it's quite possible to get up and have breakfast in Phuket and be in Bangkok for lunch and dinner and be back in bed in Phuket by evening.

Or vice versa. Or whatever.

I don't know. I had a 1 hour 30 minute flight from Seoul to Japan recently. It took me eight hours in total, with getting to the airport and getting back from the airport and the wait. I'm not sure how easy the flying thing is in Thailand, but I don't see the harm in just spending seven days in one place.

I spent NYE in Phuket last year.

I had a hotel up in the hills on the north of the bay, was with a beautiful Russian.

We had a huge night out on the town, and made it back to our hotel half hour before midnight.

Sitting in the spa with her, looking out over the bay, with a million lanterns floating up, and the fireworks and music was just an incredible experience.

^^Agreed Phuket as well as Pattaya are good for Russian girls.
Koh Phangan/koh samui/ko phi phi is a haven for backpackers, so expect an abundance of whiteys. You could easily pick up an array of flags in these locations, albeit the quality won't be great.
Bangkok (khao san road) also attracts the same backpacker crowd.

Thanks! Is 4 nights too much at phi phi? I am only there for 7 so now I am thinking:
2 bangkok
1 krabi
3 phi phi including NYE
2 phuket...

Was it filled with super hot and thin Scandinavian girls like some people would lead us to believe?

The quality during the day is higher, but I never saw a young land whale. All women were in the fit to chubby range.

I'm planning my new year's eve in Thailand or Vietnam. I mean, I bought my tickets to BKK already, will stay for 4 weeks, but still not sure where to go.

Is Saigon a good spot for the new year's eve? Or it's better to go to the islands (Phi Phi/Phuket)

I was thinking about Samui/Koh Phangan but seems that is the worst place during this part of the year because the high count of drunk ppl from EU.

If you go to any island in Thailand over New Year's, most will all be full of drunk backpackers. The Phi Phi islands will be no different to Patong in that regard.

But as you don't like Thai girls, if you want to find white girls you'll have to put up with the drunk backpackers over the Near Year.

Is the consensus among Thailand vets that the islands are just a clusterfuck of tourists and backpackers for NYE? I'm thinking of going to BKK over Christmas but not sure about staying for NYE. Is BKK fun the week between Christmas and NYEs?

I've been to a number of Thai islands, and had fun, but I'm not sure I'd like that scene any longer. Can anyone recommend more chilled out beaches that aren't overrun during the holidays?

I spent new years in bangkok 2 years ago, all I can say that it was amazing. I had a a few friends and cousins show me around and I got extremely drunk but it was so much fun. I'd happily recommend it.

Phi Phi and Koh Samui would be clustery, but Phuket is awesome for NYE

Guys headed for Thailand at NYE, do bear in mind the current ISIS threat to Russian targets in Thailand. Phuket could be one of the places targeted for Xmas or NYE so take care. It may be a small chance but thought I'd put that out there.

PM me for accommodation options in Bangkok.

- a lot to do in bangkok, i would spend more time there
- phuket city is dump imo, i would go directly to patong, russian hotspot
- phi phi is the most hyped up island, and where i was the most disapointed, fat scandi chicks with attitude, and the party finish at 2am lol (also most expensive place in thailand i have been)
- koh samui was good 20 years ago now its a dump
- full moon party in pha nang i was pleasently surprised, ok ratio and cool vibe
