Computer question

I need a new router for my at&t dsl internet (3 mbps). i only plan on using the internet for one laptop in my crib (streaming porn, basic internet surfing, and downloading music cd's). no movie downloading or anything like that. i also have a ps3 in the next room so i'll be using it for online gaming and netflix with that. do i really need to spend a crazy amount on a router? i went to best buy and a worker was trying to convince me to spend $80

will this on be ok or should i cough up more dough?

Don't know much about routers but another good site for good value electronics is
http://www.newegg.com - they also have a lot of user reviews.

I suggest buying Belkin instead of Dlink. You'll pay more, but your wireless experience will be much better. I've trashed over four different routers in last two years, and Belkin did the job well.

If you're just in an apartment or a one level house then a G-band router will work fine. An expensive N-band is more for covering long distances and going through walls and floors

Well shit. I asked a few other people and they said that best buy router will work fine. I've never even heard of G band and N band.
