Veteran's Day

I googled Veteran's Day and there were no posts on RVF so here goes for the many Veterans on RVF or members with Veteran Family Members:

Veteran's Day 2015 Deals:

Be Sure to Bring your Military ID, VA ID or Copy of your DD-214 Honorable Discharge Form

http://www.military.com/veterans-day/vet...ounts.html

http://www.military.com/veterans-day/res...ounts.html

Veterans Day Military Discounts: Restaurants

I like the Military.com list because it tends to be a pretty comprehensive nationwide list... though some local chains like Metro Boston's 99 Restaurants that give a 10% Veterans Discount every day are not listed.

So this is my plan:

Denny's for Breakfast... 6AM

Texas Road House for Lunch 11AM

Chili's for after lunch top up 2PM

Applebee's for Dinner 6PM

With a stroll around the mall to burn off calories in between with strategic stops by Dick's Sporting Goods Ladies Yoga/Jogging gear for inspiration and potential day gaming ;-)

Honorable Mentions - none are close by to me or they would also be on the plan of attack list...

Red lobster

McCormick & Schmick

Hooters

Meineke free Oil Changes...

I bet you know all the places to go on your birthday too.

Just because I'm a smart ass, doesn't mean I don't appreciate people who make sacrifices for their country. Happy Veteran's day.

Thank you for starting this thread.

I did my usual ritual of calling my uncle (Korean War Vet) and thanking him.

Thanks to all you soldiers who walked the walk.

Especially to all you Devil Dogs out there celebrating the
[Image: images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQ257mX5pxHR5L4ftEjE7u...GfkhhGXHoY]TH birthday of the Marines.

I believe in taking care of our vets, especially the wounded ones (mentally/physically).

Please donate to a cause I really believe in:

Team Rubicon - Veterans who volunteer in disaster areas nationwide and throughout the world.

Your money goes directly to the front lines, whether it's paying for equipment to their flights. You help setup their FOB's in disaster zones.

Can't imagine why they'd bother putting one in-- the military is only 70% white and 90% male.
