Smaller Mexican cities starting November or December 2015

I've been to only one small city in Mexico so far, El Salto, Jalisco. I was only there for three hours so no chance to really build a social circle, but here's my review of the place. El Salto is an hour bus ride from Guadalajara via Ruta 178. The atmosphere was very relaxed, and I found it to be another beautiful city in the country; it didn't look anywhere near as run down as Ciudad Juarez. It also wasn't very touristy either. But the cathedral there looked really beautiful. And just like in GDL, the women in El Salto were at least a 7 by US standards, but I didn't get a chance to chat a lot of them up only because I was only there for 3 hours before I headed back to Guadalajara. Anyways, I'm posting because when I go back to Mexico either late next month (hopefully before Thanksgiving) or December, I'm considering small or medium-sized cities like Guanajuato, Chihuahua City, El Salto (round 2), Lagos de Moreno, Parral, Zacatecas, etc. I did hear that building social circle was easier in the smaller cities than in a big city like Guadalajara.

Hey man I know this is pretty late for small thread, but did anything come of this trip?

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”
