most rent them from the airport or get them from their country before they head over. I know if you're heading from LA for e xample you can rent them from shops in little Tokyo. Most the Chinese girls I met there had one they brought over from the mainland, Koreans did the same as well.

My question is to Japanese friends, if there's any here.

Do you guys know just by looking if someone is Japanese, Chinese or Korean?

There are features more common in those countries, but it's far from a hard rule. Not much different then telling the difference between bordering European nations.

I can differentiate between them to some degree but its mostly through their style. Genetically their virtually identical.

Japanese people will proudly tell you that they know the difference but they often get it wrong in practice. Chinese generally look very different so no mistakes there, but some Koreans can pass for Japanese. The giveaway is usually more in their fashion and haircut etc.

I'd like to think I can tell, but it's quite possible I'm just fooling myself. It's not like I go up to people and ask them.

One thing I didn't remember was how much healthier the lifestyle is here in Japan. I have a big stack of medications and supplements I take for some fairly serious health issues, and the whole lot of it has been sitting in its bag since I got here. I don't know if it's the fact that you have to walk everywhere which makes you more active, or if the air's just cleaner, or if there's less fatty food, or what. It's pretty amazing though.

As far as I know, Japan doesn't produce any sugar and they're not into sugar-y food. That might be one of the reason.

This video is surprisingly on point. The girls are quite self-aware.

If you visit Japan, I would highly recommend eating in a Michelin star restaurant. I have been taken to a one-star sushi restaurant, 5000 yen lunch, one of the cheapest I found. Totally worth the money. I have also been to a 3-star restaurants on the "cheaper" side, 10000 yen. Prices do not include drinks, and from a few years ago. Give it a try, and thank me later.

I have been to more expensive but no-Michelin star restaurants, and I still think I overpaid for those.

Random thought but I swear one of those common phrases you will hear in this country from both sexes as a foreigner is "外人いいな"

Best part of all is that they are for completely different reasons and context when said, think about it[Image: wink.gif]

Japan might be one of the only countries in the world in which it's probably ok to get into the foodie culture to some extent. The restaurant cuisine there is at such a high level that no other country really comes close. Japanese girls, just like the girls from most industrialized countries, are also into the restaurant scene, so it's actually a good place to meet girls as well as to eat the best food in the world.

Interesting video. Funny thing is, some of the Western chicks I've met here say such behavior is what's make them "easy," using shame language to get the local girls to change.

Here's something I never understood: What's with this idea of complicating things more than they have to be? Roosh talked about it in one of his interviews awhile back: all his father had to do get married is take a shower and be a good man. Now, a lot of getting laid is a dog and pony show designed to be more entertaining than Susan's smartphone. Game is a product of the West, no doubt.

Have a Japanese martial arts buddy out here who slays girls. He blew through so many, that he is only interested in blondes now. Funny thing is, many of the Western girls are so starved for attention, that he just racks up numbers like nothing.

What's his secret?

He does exactly what the girls in the video suggest.

Donovan Sharpe talked about how oftentimes, asking girls "what kind of person are you?" will give you the roadmap to how to game them. Perhaps this is no exception.

Will be rolling with Brisey in Tokyo weekend 2-4th March and again the following Saturday. In between we're snowboarding in Niseko 4th-9th March then spending the Friday night after in Sapporo.

If you're in town and fancy a session give us a shout [Image: thumb.gif]

For the Tokyo locals / frequent flyers:

What's hot in the bar scene at the moment?

Preferred spots for daytime fresh approaches?

No loud clubs please

Venues with women 25-32 preferable

Just got back from 2 weeks.

Been seeing this girl in Vegas that I'm really into and brought her along. I know, fucking stupid idea. After 24 hours in Tokyo it fell apart. Somehow it seemed like the girls in Tokyo had only gotten more beautiful since last time I was there, and it totally fucked things up with me and the girl. I got my share of those furtive quick glances several times every day and it drove me nuts.

Anyway it only made me that much more driven to learn Japanese and figure out a way to live in Japan. I picked up a few new phrases and useful vocabulary but there's so far to go.

I love that place more than anywhere else I've been. Every minute on the street I see girls I want to bang. Every 10-15 minutes I see a girl that almost stops me dead in my tracks. The food is incredible, I hit some top notch spots on this visit as well as plenty of delicious casual meals too. The politeness of the people is always great. There's nothing like dealing with incredibly polite and patient people at the metro station or airport (or anywhere else for that matter) and then come back to the U.S. and deal with knuckledragging mouthbreathers here. The skiing in Nozawa was just first rate, and what a cool town.

The coming home depression is pretty bad this time. I highly envy the forum players living in Japan, as well as Japanese guys in general. So many goofy Japanese dudes walking arm in arm with a 7 or 8. I hope they know how good they have it. The herbivores are truly the biggest faggots on earth. I can understand going all MGTOW in English speaking countries and preferring videogames to fat alcoholic sluts in America or UK. Japan I cannot fathom it. The abundance of dollfaced thin girls with long hair and great feminine fashion makes MGTOW or herbivore behavior totally inexcusable.

Random observation: Most gaijin I saw in Japan were complete and total dorks. Most dorky dudes were with dorky frumpy Japanese girls. Not hating, I was just trying to observe for my own purposes to see what the average white guy was pulling there, but it was hard to pinpoint what an average white dude is like. Seemed like a lot of manga and videogame nerds.

I only saw one white dude with a smoking hot Japanese girl, probably an 8 by local standards and a 9.5 by American standards. Tall dude, probably 6'5" going for the pewdipie look, bleached blond "Hitler youth" haircut. Thought for sure he was on the forum, anyway if that was you major props to you.

First order of business is trying to figure out how to fit community college Japanese classes into my schedule...

Even the top end restaurants in Tokyo that are 30k-40k yen per person are a relative bargain when compared to fine dining elsewhere in the world. The top end spots in the US and Europe are currently around 60k-80k per person and for the most part not nearly as enjoyable. On this trip I ate at Nihonryouri Ryugin (amongst some others) and it's easily in the top 3 meals of my life, maybe the best ever.

The worst part today (just flew back) was seeing the standing sushi bar at Haneda and knowing it would be considered the top 3 sushi bars in Vegas. Fucking sparkling fresh uni from Hokkaido at the airport sushi bar, get a sick selection of nigiri for 1200Y or go all out and have a goddamn feast for 2500Y. It's really really depressing me right now. I can spend $80+ in Vegas and get crap fish served on cold shitty rice and limp flavorless nori.

English teacher or translator 4 life on a shitty salary or you need some serious tech background and expect to not make it into management ever as a foreigner on an also mediocre salary. There could be worse considering how much the west is imploding, but don't think you'll ever be able to assert yourself at work.

Japanese in general live to work. 12h days 6 days a week. Not much to envy. Only those with rich parents are to envy but you could say the same about rich kids in LA etc.

You lack cultural insight. Getting laid with random women requires aggression that is very non Japanese. Younger japanese are wising up to this and some older japanese have a zero fucks given attitude when drunk.

I lived vicariously through your facebook and instagram while you were away. That food man, its so easy to forget what Japan has to offer. And the sushi in Haneda is amazing, even among the Japanese its known to be great. For many, its the last stop before going to their gate where they will carry the oshi sushi on to their destination, where it will end up a gift for a hungry and grateful expat or friend.

I find it harder to come back to Vancouver each time I visit. Last trip there and hanging out with some RVF guys brought the place to a different level. I have some good friends there, but the level of conversation I get with guys from here is on another level. To me there is now Japan pre RVF and Japan post RVF.

Probably shouldn't respond to trolls but, being such an expert, Asiaballer should know about the "work style reforms" going on in Japan now. In large companies overtime is being cut down hugely, especially with the labor shortage. I personally am doing 8 hour days. Don't know anybody doing 12 hours a day on a regular basis. As is often the case, people like to talk in clichés and use second-hand accounts when it comes to Japan.

Veloce, you should have given me a shout man!

I know I know, totally shitty on my part, but I had the gf in tow the entire time and not a time to be meeting up with forum players abroad. I get sick of the whole, "So how do you know THIS person?"

As soon as we got back to Vegas things were great again. It's as if Japanese women put a hex on my relationship while I was there.

Anyway I hope to make at least 2 such trips per year until I can figure out something more long term. Next time I'm definitely going alone and definitely hitting up the forum crew there.

Living in Japan you should know that most overtime is not recorded. You simply don't leave before your manager leaves and then it's after work drinks until the last train.

Saturdays depends on the company if it's in the contract or if people voluntarily come in to get ahead.

Not sure why you're so hostile. I'm not much in Japan anymore as I did not see a good future for me there for the aforementioned reasons (mediocre salaries, hard to get ahead as a foreigner).

If you want to fit in it's betaslave 4 life as you can't really move up. If you don't then you're pigeonholed into English teaching where you don't work more than 8h a day.

Contrarian views always welcome.
