Red pill book review & discussion platform

Hi guys,

I programmed a site where we can discuss and review relevant red pill books.

Here is a summary of the features:
- Books in various relevant categories
- Everybody can discuss books using the Disqus plugin; no need to register for that
- Registered users can submit reviews including ratings
- Registered users can submit short summaries of the book; usually, there is already a summary from Amazon
- Registered users can rate summaries of the book; the best rated summary will appear on top
- Links to Amazon or other buying options

Possible features for the future:
- Option to publish your own book as PDF, including affiliate marketing
- Some kind of automatism for submitting books you like
- Voting books in or out, to avoid irrelevant content
- Better structured home page
- Related books, etc.

Now, my choice of books by now is yet small. If you wish to see some book up there, drop me a message in this thread or using the contact form and I will put the book up within 1 or 2 days if I think it is of interest.

Likewise, if you notice some glitch/bug/nasty problem come up or generally feel like you want to see some feature or improve something about the layout, I encourage you to let me know. During the week, I am usually busy and can not do more than upload books, but on weekends I usually have time to implement one or two features.

The links to buying options are affiliate links. If you, for some reason, dislike business, just stay away. I am saying this because of negative experience on other forums that are unrelated to TRP, no offence meant.

What do you think? And what interests me most: What feature are you be most keen to see, if any?

I like it. It's like a Goodreads, except for masculine men.

I have a site like this, though it's geared towards book reviews. The advantage of your site is the programming which allows the various features you listed.

To get it off and running, you should have some reviews of your own. I'll try and contribute some to start.

Feel free to PM me for any additional details.

Thanks, Seth.

When I get to it, I will add a feature that will reward the best rated reviews with a Google-active link to the site of the author, as an incentive. Of course, that is more of a long-term investment at this point in time.

I also considered paying a small amount of money to everybody who contributes in the beginning, but I conjecture that most men in the target group have a solid income and are not interested in peanuts. If anyone is interested though, feel free to PM me.

Hey folks,

I added some features to the site:
- For reviews that you have already published elsewhere, you can add a nofollow backlink to the original URL. Thus, Google will not detect it as duplicate content.
- You can set a link in your user profile and for each review you post. If a particular review of yours gets the best community rating, a fully Google-indexable backlink will be displayed on the page of the book and on the page of the review.
- Community ratings for reviews. If you are a registered user, you can rate reviews. The best rated review gets displayed on top and gets a backlink to the author's set website URL.
- Everybody can vote on the relevance of books, that is: even anonymous users. If you think a book is useful for masculine men, click Yes on the book's page. If not, click No. When I have enough ratings, I will implement a feature that automatically hides the badly rated books from the homepage and category sites. The book will still be Google-indexable, so reviews and other stuff will not get compromised, but irrelevant books and scam will not clutter the view.
- Reviews are displayed only as excerpts with up to 1000 words on the book page; if you want to read the whole review, you have to click a second link. On the review page itself, you can comment on the review.
- Profile editing page where you can set your homepage url.
- Somewhat improved design and a few added books.
- Sitemap for all books - including hidden ones, categories and reviews.

Take care.
