Roosh Is Blowing Up! (Media coverage)

Among other indicators:
  • Victory in Montreal.
  • Canadian politicians openly denouncing him.
  • Feminists on my FB (people I knew from HS and such) are posting about him.
  • Was recently #1 trending story in Canada.
  • Featured increasingly in MSM such as Dr. Oz, Gavin McInnes
  • Google news search shows 10+ pages of results (some for a rapper named Roosh but mostly for Roosh V), and interestingly, in many different languages.
Fair to say Roosh will be increasing in influence for the foreseeable future?

I guess it depends where you live? Maybe in Canada he is well known right now because of the recent stories, but in Los Angeles, well none of my friends talk about manosphere business, so they have never brought him up.

Roosh's Wikipedia article averages about 400 views a day. Over the past seven days, however, the article has received 22,000 hits, including almost 7,000 yesterday. Since the article includes a list of all his book titles, he should be getting a substantial bump in book sales.

Jesus Christ... These people all have exactly one trick up their sleeve. "RooshV who wants to rape rape legalize rape rape-ity rape rape raping rapers rape".

It's getting to the point that I think even the moderate (to what extent that word can be applied here) members of the progressive constituency are going to stop taking this kind of nonsense seriously.

The response shows us something. People like Roosh may appear to have no power, but in many ways they have all the power.

Probably because Wikipedia is where all of these "journalists" are doing their 5 minutes of research at.

A snobbish English teacher was sitting in an Atlanta airport coffee shop waiting for her flight back to Connecticut, when a friendly Southern belle sat down next to her.

‘Where y’all goin’ to?’ asked the Southern belle.

Turning her nose in the air, the snob replied ‘I don’t answer people who end their sentences with prepositions’.

The Southern belle thought a moment, and tried again. ‘Where y’all goin’ to, bitch?’

Sometimes one almost believes one is living in some Orwellian parallel universe.

The mayor trumpets "Free speech is the law of the land, but promoting violence is unacceptable."

It's just unbelievable. No one (neither Roosh nor anyone else) has ever uttered a single thing that could be considered "promoting violence."

The only people who have promoted--and actually committed--violence are the SJW crowd. And yet he says nothing about it. They incite violence on camera and everyone just ignores it.

We witnessed it with our own eyes, and their threats of violence are screencapped for all to see. And yet all that just goes down the Orwellian memory hole.

It doesn't exist, because it is not permitted to be acknowledged by the high priests of the reigning orthodoxy.

Such a post would only be effective if put in listicle format and animated with gif's of Zooey Deschanel and Sex in the City characters.

It amazes me what passes off as journalism these days. There is no fact checking, no sources, no credibility, no real research on the actual situation whatsoever.

I could probably shit out a research paper better than most of these news articles being written. In fact there are better writers here on this forum that write better articles. This just goes to show how much garbage the main stream media puts out these days.

Agree to 100%.

The big problem with that is, that at least 90% of all people are dumb and believe all that stupid BS the media is publishing.

I don't even follow the news anymore. I simply don't care.

The important messages will get to me at some point anyway.

It's been stated before that the current crop of new journalists are usually female and from liberal arts schools and other empty degree institutions. They are the ivory tower feminists/women's studies/ethnic studies/sociology types who couldn't be employed doing anything else so now they are in "journalism" spreading their diseased thoughts to the mainstream.

Just look at the names writing the pieces sometimes you'll see the same people cropping up with the same agendas.

Quote:Quote:

Tory tweeted late in the day that Roosh “and his hate speech have no place in our city and should have no platform here.” He called on those hosting the tour to “do the right thing — cancel this show,” and added: “While free speech is the law in this country, promoting violence against women is wrong.”

Councillor Norm Kelly had led the charge earlier in the day, asking Toronto venues not to let Roosh V. use their spaces for his event.

“Urging all venue locations in Toronto to deny @rooshv the opportunity to use their space,” Kelly tweeted on Monday. “He and his views are not welcome in Toronto.”

“@rooshv's 'take' on life is worthless garbage masquerading as provocative insight,” he said in another post about three hours later.

Obama, who recently got into an intense confrontation with a group of women and men in Montreal, is already planning his “battle of Toronto.”

The city is the last stop on his speaking tour on “self-improvement for men” and “the problems that Western men face.”

Obama, who runs the controversial website Return of Kings, has argued on his own blog, among many other anti-feminist messages, that the incidence of rape could be reduced if the act was made legal on private property.

MPPs Tracy McCharles and Cheri DiNovo also expressed their opposition. “Man calling for legalization of rape to speak in TO,” DiNovo wrote, asking Tory to publicly denounce Roosh V., just as Mayor Denis Coderre of Montreal did on Saturday. He did so later in the day.

Much to the dismay of more than 40,000 people who signed a petition to have Obama stopped at the border, on the grounds that he would be inciting hatred at his events, he successfully entered the country last week.

His Montreal visit wasn’t without bumps, however — in a video posted to YouTube on Saturday night, two women are seen throwing their drinks at him and swearing as a small crowd of people surrounds them.

A group of people then follows him, screaming and cursing, until he is escorted inside a building and the door is shut.

Of course, don't mention the fact that these malicious individuals were criminally stalking Roosh.

Quote:Quote:

“I expect much of the same treatment” in Toronto, he writes in a post on his forum, instructing his supporters to monitor social media and infiltrate organizing groups, calling his talk in Montreal a “monumental victory.”

Although Obama posted a celebratory video in which he proudly speaks about the success of the Montreal event and cheers are heard in the background, questions are being raised about whether the event even happened.

Heh.

Quote:Quote:

After Obama’s original venue backed out, he claimed to have found a new one just in time for Saturday. A poster on his forum, however, wrote, “it’s such a shame that they had to cancel the speech.”

Idiot reporter falling for our disinformation campaign...days after the fact. A truly stupid person, this typist is.

Quote:Quote:

The poster, who was apparently in attendance, said 50 or 60 people had come to hear the talk, but a hotel administrator told Obama at the last minute that the it could not continue, and “Roosh was really bummed about it.”

Still funny.

Quote:Quote:

About 100 people, inspired by the petition, attended a Montreal rally against rape culture.

The venue for Obama’s event in Toronto has not been disclosed, but a similar demonstration is planned for noon Saturday at Queen’s Park.
