diet-experimenting: when you would suggest to have the first meal after waking up....

... with this parameters?

-> Ok, Im trying atm some new diet-stuff and mix some CBL-concepts, matabol diet-concepts together with touching little bit on IF and the Renegade diet...

Im doing atm following stuff:

1.) on Gym-days I have a slight caloric surplus and go for a higher carb diet.... (exspecially directly before I hit the gym, directly after the workout and bout 2 hours after the workout)

2.) On Off-days I go for a low-carb-diet including a slight caloric-deficit...

3.) On all days though, no matter if gym-days or off-days,
I dont eat anymore a breakfast.... have read bout it a lot and its not for everybody, but i feel without a breakfast way way way more energetic and just better during my activities during the day...

My first meal happens then some hours after I have woken up and is usually only in form of a bulletproof-coffee in order to maximize the time of my higher HGH-levels...

Now i wonder,
with all the paramters I have told you,
what would you suggest as the perfect time to have this first meal (bullet-proof-coffee with around 400 calories) after I have woken up?
How many hours should I wait until the first meal?
Im sleeping by the way bout 7-8 hours and usually eat bout 30 min before I go to be a small last snack...

I would be thankful for any input on this one...
And is here maybe someone doing something similar?

Regards,
Haxton^^

Honestly, just eat your first meal whenever you are hungry.

I usually don't eat breakfast because I'm not hungry in the mornings. Some days my lunch is at 9:30 am and other days it isn't unitl 2 pm. It also depends when you wake up. If I get up at 5 am my first meal is usually earlier than if I sleep in.

^ I echo what he said. I know a lot of guys like to get into tracking every detail, but really its going to effect you in such a small way that its not worth worrying about in my opinion. There are guys who will tell you that you MUST eat breakfast, and there are other that swear there are benefits to not eating breakfast at all.

Try not eating breakfast at all as an experiment. I forget the blog or whoever it was, but they found that eating breakfast didn't make them any less hungry when the next meal time came when compared to not eating breakfast at all. I often skip breakfast, and I notice no difference except that I'm lowing my caloric intake, which is a good thing for me.

If you're like me and need to eat breakfest because the next break from work you want to take is in the afternoon then I would suggest something like eggs.

If you think about it, your body is in a fasting state for up to 10 hours ideally (don't eat 3 hrs before sleeping & 7 hours while you sleep).
This means you don't wanna cut that fat burning short by introducing heavy carbs.

Eggs + nuts + vegetables.

That depends a lot on your body type. If you're a skinny guy trying to gain muscle YOU MUST EAT. Your skinny body will need the protein, and fat. Plain and simple. If you're a fat guy tying to lose fat YOU MUST EAT to ramp up your sloth metabolism and fuel the muscles to grow. And you also have to consider what kind of activities that you're doing. Weight lifter, or endurance athlete?

I always wait at least an hour before eating. First thing I do is drink a quart of water with 1/4 teaspoon of real salt. Then I do stretching walking and sometimes even lifting.

Never eat right upon rising and never eat before bed. Two golden rules to live by.

Sometimes I wake up at 7am and don't eat my first meal til 10am-12 noon.

I don't see a problem with eating before bed. I always do that.
It makes me tired and I fall asleep easier.

Look into intermittent fasting. You don't have to go all scientific with it. Just eat decent and within a 6-8 hour period. It will work.
