For the Canadians on the board, who don't have the option of a 3 year multiple entry visa like Americans do... what's your best solution for staying a few months in Russia?

I was thinking of spending 3 months this summer in Russia, but it seems I can only get a tourist visa for 1 month, or I'll have to get a student visa which sounds like it'll be expensive with having to sign up for an University. I was planning to learn Russian but with 1 on 1 classes instead.

Any other ideas out there? Or should I just stick to 30 days for a quick trip and instead go to Ukraine to learn Russian.

Business visa is what you're looking for. Get the 90 day one and then I believe the next time around you can get the longer ones.
