Not much has been written about Phoenix and Scottsdale. The few times I was there was back when I was married, but my brief notes are...

- Scottsdale is the place
- A lot of chics from the midwest
- Better looking chics than the midwest (even a beta married dude appreciates fine lines)
- Seems like I noticed a lot of big tits. Is it a fake boob city?
- A lot of outdoor bar/mall places where you could day or night game very naturally
- Cars don't rust (coming from the midwest, I'm very jealous of that)
- It hit 105' when I was there. I'll take that dry over 90' and humid here in the midwest...as long as I can sit in the shade.
- Don't live in a place with scorpions. You can't get rid of them.
- Tempe for college chics...or just go to Scottsdale at night and game them...it's right up the road.

I lived and worked in Phoenix after I graduated from college. There is a lot to do there but you really have to define what you are looking for.

In general places to hangout:

Scottsdale - More the snob upscale wannabe crowd with a few genuine rich people and attractive women sprinkled in. You will see many women play rich here. They will be driving a beat up car and acting like they own the bar etc.

North Phoenix - This is where the better quality well off women are. There are a few bars and lounges I could name specifically if you are interested.

Downtown Phoenix - Not really much variety in downtown proper but if you venture just outside of the traditional downtown area by a few miles there are loads of places that people go to pregame and hangout in general.

Tempe - Depending on where you are in Tempe it is hit or miss but everyone knows Mill Ave is where the ASU girls will be...especially since it is between the college and housing.

I wouldn't spend much time in the other cities unless you are living out there with the exception of Glendale.

Glendale is where Cardinal stadium is and also where the outlet mall is. There is a place called Westgate that has all this contained in about a 1 mile square range. Nothing amazing here just a lot of bars surrounding the football and hockey stadiums. Also my personal favorite place in Westgate is where they do the dueling pianos. On a Friday or Saturday night this place is gold for both entertainment and women.

Anything you want specifics on ask and if I know I will drop it here.

I just left this area earlier this year so my knowledge is fairly current.

I live in downtown Phoenix and will second everything cap213 wrote. I can't emphasize strongly enough that if you want to run club game, you pretty have to go to Scottsdale. While there are a few clubs in downtown Phoenix, you should only go there if you like fat Mexican girls with braces.

Downtown Phoenix is a good place to go for sporting events and cultural stuff, though. There are often excellent gaming opportunities at Diamondbacks games, since women like to go to games in groups. They don't watch the ball game at all, just take selfies and chatter. They'll usually be in the sports bars after the games, too, and mostly drunk. Some of the hotel bars in downtown are pretty decent spots to game, too, since there are conventions practically every week in Phoenix.

Mill Ave in Tempe is great if you like the college girls. ASU students tend toward either Midwesterners or Southern California girls who were too stupid to get into USC. In either case, there are loads of 7+ girls.

Haha,
I forgot about the fat mexicans...that brings up another point. If you don't like Mexican women this place can suck. It will leave you with really only Scottsdale, North Phoenix and maybe Glendale for games to game women. A place of note for anyone in Phoenix is called Culinary dropout/The Yard. It is the one in Phoenix. Lots of 25-40 year old professional women go there and are attractive. There won't be many above a 7 but there will be tons of 7s. Also to those who want to test their game...there is a waitress there who is a former FHM model who is a certified 9.5. I almost cracked her but her "boyfriend" cockblocked.

Tempe is cool. It is within 10-15 minutes from everywhere in the East valley of importance and 25 minutes from West valley (Glendale). Plus depending on where you live there will be a lot of women in Tempe because of ASU.

There are also ASU and UofA campuses in downtown Phoenix. The students there flood the Roosevelt arts district every "First Friday" for the usual gawking at (mostly) bad art, (mostly) lousy garage bands, and (mostly) good craft beer. Usually decent gaming opportunities, and you might even very occasionally meet a woman with at least a partial brain. Just hop the light rail (heading west from Tempe) and get off downtown.

Never been to Culinary Dropout, but have heard good things from multiple sources. May have to check it out, if for no other reason than to inspect this former FHM model. Thanks for the tip, cap213.

There's a pool hall/bar called Mill Avenue Cue Club in Tempe that is often full of hot ASU girls. Way easier approaches than a dance club.

^^^ this guy knows his off beat stuff. First Fridays and also those wine festivals in Scottsdale are gold. And you may just luck up and get a hottie with a brain and a body haha.

No problem MikeInRealLife her name is Carissa, but you will definitely know her. She dresses a cut above the rest and is head and shoulders better looking than any of the other girls that work there.

I have been been to Phoenix many a times and also have lived in DC as well.

You're comparing two very contrasting cities, so much so I would consider these two places to be polar opposites.

First thing the women are completely different. The women of Phoenix have this Wild West mentality ( it's all or nothing), " I don't give two fucks of what you think about me" way of life. They get fake tits, tattoos and piercings and apart not afraid to get aggressive if they like you.

Whereas DC the women are liberal and trying to tow the party line and thinking of their white Pickett fence on Capitol Hill or some suburb of DC or va. I find it quite refreshing actually some guys might be turned off by it.

As for quality not even close as the women of Scottsdale are some of the hottest women in all of the U.S. Someone did mention they do chase money and can come off quite fake but honestly what women in the any large metro U.S. city isn't thinking about money and status.

Another person mentioned Mexican women, Yes there are a ton of them there so you better have a taste or acquire a taste for them.

The two main spots already mentioned are Tempe, mill ave Scottsdale, pretty much. Also some pretty good pool parties because of the weather.

The weather consists of no rain and lots of sunshine. Summer can be brutal as the sun feels like it's scorching your skin.

If you decide to move best of luck!

I'm flying into LAX start of Oct.I've got 7 days to myself waiting for my mates before we hit Vegas.Jetlag hits me like a motherfucker thats why I'm going early.
I'm not a big LA fan but Phoenix looks good on the map and not too far from Vegas.
Is it worth going to Phoenix in October?
I have Googled it but I'd rather get intel from blokes on the ground..And where should I stay for easy access to bars etc?? I have no issues rolling solo.

October is as good a month as any. As I said earlier it will still be hot out but not cook an egg on sidewalk hot anymore. Depending on when you go there will be Oktober festival going on in Scottsdale. College will be in so all major venues will have a stream of ASU women and local women trying to compete.

As far as logistics hotel row in Old Town Scottsdale is always a safe bet. It is within walking distance to anywhere that is happening down there and easy to bring girls back to. If you are willing to spend a little more coin the W is gold. Or across the street there is a best western that is only 2 minutes from the action happening in Old Town.

Thanks fellas..

I would love to stay at the W ,it looks really good but the price sky rockets in October to almost $500AUD a night.. very tempted to book a Saturday though...
I'll Airbnb a condo close by or cheaper hotel within 1KM of the Entertainment district..

Like most non Americans I didn't know what ASU was... Googled ASU girls ,shit the bed..the perv factor must be through the roof..
I was only coming for the real American west thing ,maybe see a NFL game and to rest up before Vegas...
I'm looking forward to Phoenix.

Coming from a recent ASU grad, gaming solo would be easier in LA than the Phoenix area. With that said, If you do choose to go to Phoenix here's what I've learned living in the area for the past 4 years.

Previously mentioned, Scottsdale and Tempe are where you'll want to spend most of your time, especially if you like the blonde hair/ blue eyes look. As for the night scene, expect to find a lot of college girls, Mexicans, and MILFs (scottsdale). If you're aiming to game college girls its going to be tough if you don't look college aged or aren't a local celebrity(college/professional sports, industry guy). College girls here are pretty stuck up, they don't call it Snobsdale for nothing. They're also really cliquish since the majority of girls go out with a group of friends, which can be hard to penetrate because of blaring music and jam packed venues.

As for the venues the best nights to go out are Thursday-Saturday, but it might be easier to game on the down nights because the venues aren't as packed so bitch shields aren't as high. Here are some of the places to go to..

Monday: Zuma Grill (Mill ave, Tempe)
This will be the only place jam packed on a Monday night. Its small and the music is loud so it might not be too great for someone rolling solo.

Tuesday: Fat Tuesdays (Mill ave, Tempe)
This ones New Orleans themed and one of three venues on mill that will have a 50/50 crowd of college students and regular working people. This bar along with the other two bars: Rula Bula(Irish Pub) and Firehouse, as a result has lower quality girls in them. Try their slush drinks, The Octane is my favorite.

Wednesday: The Mint (Scottsdale)
This place has party busses that picks up the college crowd from Tempe and brings them to the club on Wednesday nights so the club gets pretty full, but usually not jam packed. I'd stay here and grab a few drinks and if the scene is dead head over to American Junkie (Scottsdale). To be honest a lot of the college crowd hitch a free ride on the party bus to The Mint, but then walk over to American Junkie.

Thursday, Friday, Saturday: Almost anywhere on Mill Ave, Tempe or Old Town, Scottsdale.
My favorites:
Mill Ave -
Cue Club. Try their $4Long Island Ice Tea. Two will get you pretty drunk, even for a seasoned drinker.
El Hefe.
HandleBar. Might be the best place on Mill to solo game, the place isn't as clubby as the rest so the atmosphere is more laxed. They also have community seating, if you're new at game and looking for an easy way to start conversations.
Gringo Star. This place has arcade games in the bar and is a local favorite among college students.
Moonshine. You said you wanted to experience the old west this bar will do it for you. They blast country music all night and is the biggest venue on Mill. Probably the second best place to game after HandleBar. Try the different whiskeys, I recommend the Apple Pie whiskey.

Scottsdale-
American Junkie. This place will be packed with college kids/young adults. I love this place, but its really hard to get a drink.
El Hefe. Paid girls dancing on bars pouring free mixed shots into your mouth. Enough Said.
The Mint.
Cake. This one will be really hard to get into if you don't know anyone, also the crowd is pretty pretentious.
Maya Day/Night club. This club isn't my favorite, but my friends love this place. Its huge and has a pool you can use, its trying to be Vegas basically so if thats your thing check it out. They usually have a decent DJ.
Whiskey Row. Owned by a famous country singer, this club is similar to moonshine, but located in scottsdale. Its pretty dope.

Sunday: El Hefe(Mill ave or Scottsdale) RnR(Scottsdale)
Nothing beats Sunday Funday. El Hefe will have a party atmosphere per usual, but RnR will be more laxed. El Hefe will be more fun, but you can't really beat RnR's bottomless Mimosas.

I don't know if you're planning on driving or flying, but a drive from LA to PHX will take roughly 6 hours, and a drive from PHX to Las Vegas will take 4 hrs. If you're flying from PHX to Las Vegas check out Mesa Airport the flights are usually cheaper than flying from Sky Harbor. Also since we're talking about transportation a taxi ride from Mill Ave. to Old Town will usually run you $12-15 bucks. I don't recommend taking Uber on Thursday-Saturday night it'll end up costing you double that.

Hope this helps.

Thanks BKBorn, great info.I owe you guys some beers if I see you on the ground.

I'm going for the "American experience"....But I do love going out and drinking in bars talking shit, meeting locals...Wild west shit.Whatever happens,happens.... just no broke back mountain shit.

The bachelor party guys where coming to Arizona after me but now they will go to Phoenix too. These guys are naturals from hell and younger than me.

We don't see Mexican, College or MILF we just see American women and we like them...just like if you guys came down here with our women.

I think it depends where you're talking. In my opinion and experience in both regions I think the girls in Minnesota and Wisconsin are the best looking in the country. In pockets of Minneapolis + St. Paul (Uptown, U of M, Warehouse Dist., Grand Ave) I see more slim and attractive women than I've seen anywhere, with good to not-terrible attitudes.

In Phoenix you start to get whiffs of SoCal attitude and there are some similarities culturally with the girls, a negative in my book.

Definitely agree on the humidity. Having grown up in CA and lived for quite a while in MN, the humidity is just draining. Though 112º, even dry, isn't awesome either for being outside.

Any newer views on Phoenix.... if Trump gets elected and I decide to move back to America cause I miss my car.... Phoenix is a option for me. I also have a fairly big time money making opportunity there.

Other then the girls how is life in the city? I spent a summer there when I was in the 7th grade and I just swam in the pool, played NES, and masturbated all summer. Honestly..... if I went there now the only thing that would be different would be a Xbox in place of the NES.

Phoenix has a unique businesses venture that I can embark on so it has extra incentive.... If not Phoenix then somewhere in Colorado or back on the Coast of NC would be my other main options that I am considering.

I lived in Arizona for around three years and life was good. If you enjoy the outdoors there are tons of opportunities to the North for hiking, rock climbing, ATV riding, hunting, and fishing. Phoenix has a good airport that can provide a good base of travel. Also, you are close to both Las Vegas and the beaches of San Diego.

My personal preference would be to pick Phoenix or Denver over the NC coast. I currently reside in NC. While the beaches of Wilmington, NC are good in summer the options and flexibility are not. I think the lack of options and the environment would get old for an international guy like you. Just my two cents.
