I just picked up the following Micro Drone 3.0 indiegogo Campaign perks

I have a few ideas to make some $$with this technology - the platform is small yet remarkably stable and the optional gimbal lets you raise and lower and pan the HD streaming camera module;

Ideas:

Real Estate for sale eye level walking tours with room by room views and panning.

Land/Farms property development - fly over the property and look for any wet lands or evidence of dumping (underground storage tank fuel contamination) before you make any offers - of course if any negatives found you drop the offer price accordingly...

Market Fly through and Video Specials, flea markets, antiques markets, Farmers markets, Artists fairs etc

Interesting Model Shoots, Landscape Shoots, car shows, antique car meets and shows, swap meets etc etc

Basically any kind of interesting content for Youtube, facebook, Google+, Instagram, Pinterest etc etc channels.

I picked up the $150 Drone perk (5 left) and the $50 MicroGimbal hd camera module up down and panning perk... will likely be a while before the products shipped as these are basically pre-paid sales campaigns at a discount from eventual full production retail ($20 International Shipping each item - team is based in London - likely manufacturing in China at these prices). Some real innovative Makers tech on Indiegogo.

The videos showing how stable this thing is for its size got me as I am looking for an inexpensive Ariel photog tool to add to my content arsenal and at $240.00 for the MicroDrone 3.0, plus panning gimbal and two $20 intl shipping seems less than a decent lens for a Nikon or Canon DSLR... similar larger Drones with less capability are in the $1,400+ range.

There is a company that will pay drone owners to fly around and photograph certain places. It's called Skycatch. I don't know the details.

If only you knew how bad things really are.

Bought the nicest Phantom DJI Vision+ last year, and I've since ended up giving it away. Too much of a liability, and I've got too much to lose - frankly, the tech is just not there yet - and my (despite my following instructions to the letter) drone ended up doing stupid shit like flyaways, etc. The last thing I want is to work for forty years and then lose everything because a drone hit a neighbor in the head!
