Is there anybody on here that is familiar with the TV gameshow Take Me Out?
I've watched the Irish & British versions of this awful show but according to Wikipedia the series is based on an Australian gameshow called Taken Out and is now airing in Denmark, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, Finland, Spain, China, United States, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, Canada (Quebec), South Africa, Estonia, Brazil, Ukraine & Norway.
For those of you who aren't familiar with the format of the show, it's basically one guy presenting himself to 30 women, who can proceed to turn their lights off at any stage if they're not interested in dating him. Furthermore he gets two opportunities to 'prove himself' to these women and if there are still lights on at the end, he gets to date one of the women.
It's actually a rather typical Anglosphere concept, where men are openly humiliated and mocked then have to 'prove there worth' to gain a woman's attention. Obviously if it was the other way around, with one woman and 30 guys, then the feminist movement would be up in arms, even though it would more then likely work out much better for then one female contestant, who would be pretty much be guaranteed a date just for showing up.
The ironic aspect about this ridiculous show is that it gives male viewers from around the world an insight into local women and their different attitudes in several countries around the world. Hence why I'm posting it here.
The show that I'm most familiar with is the Irish show and in typical Irish fashion the women aren't very attractive, carry an extra few pounds, rely on layers of makeup to try and look good and dress like cheap whores. The most glaring aspect for me though is their bad attitudes and ridiculously high standards. Their excuses for turning their lights off are pathetic in most cases and this really does reflect the true nature of the Irish dating game. Anyway at the end of the show only 2 guys got a date out of the 4 contestants, which was a fairly decent result as more guys went home alone then got a date in the whole first series, as far as I can remember.
The video is rather long so skip through it where you can and be thankful that it's only 360p because trust me, you don't want to look as these hoes in high definition!
Now here are some Irish guys on the British version of the show. In my opinion the women on the UK version are generally much better looking then the Irish version with a much more positive/outgoing attitude, plus not too surprising, both guys got a date. Coincidence? Probably not.
So what do you guys think of this bullshit show? Is it better in your home country then in mine (which can't be too difficult)?
