Is your city Alpha, Beta or Gamma? See what globalization researchers say...

There's been lots of posts in different threads based on what cities are great for guys, however, I wanted to start a discussion with economic research tied in to the real world experiences of men on the forum.

I came across the below data and details from this Wikipedia link, which shows a better breakdown with country flags and pics included, but wasn't as easy to post: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_city#GaWC_study

A few questions to start discussion:

1) What entries should be bumped up or down on this list according to the metrics in the link?

For example, I could see a good argument for Houston being listed as an Alpha- city rather than a Beta+, especially relative to Atlanta's position.

2) What cities would you bump up or down if we took into account the research metrics plus your own RVF style metrics (i.e. quality of women, ease of game, anti-male legislation, good weather, a lively party/arts/cultural scene, etc.)?

For example, Toronto would definitely drop when we added in RVF priorities. I'm sure the cities from India would plummet. However, NYC would remain strong. And based on forum data sheets/consensus, cities like Manila and Bogotá should rise.

3) Finally, if you were to construct your own list from scratch (i.e. blending lifestyle, game, etc.) what cities would you put at the top and recommend the most for guys to a) live/work in, or b) visit?

I'm not sure how they came up with the terminology, it kind of doesnt make sense.

Though the graph looks cool.

Pointless list for anyone but academics. Hell even the average "quality of life" rankings actually directed at your average reader often make little sense. So a list designed by RVF wouldn be cool.
