Hello fellas,

I'm planning to visit some relatives in the US this summer but after that, since I'm there anyway and will start the journey in NY, I'm planning to make a road trip along the East Coast and then probably fly back from Miami or something.

Obviously the destinations and planning is still sorta murky in my head but I'm also just beginning with my research. Gonna be crawling the internet for some destinations and sights to visit, but while I'm doing it I'd also like to implore RVF to help a fellow traveller out. I haven't seen any kind of east coast thread in this forum but that's not surprising since most of it is more focused on foreign countries and the gaming datasheets.

Any ticks for good cities to visit and stuff to do there would be appreciated. You can drop some good gaming places wisdom for sure, but to be honest this is gonna be more of a sight seeing trip rather than being focused on gaming along. But who knows, I'll take that into account. If I wind up in Miami at the end of my trip it'll probably be a gaming Mecca anyway.

One question I wanted to get out of the way: are there many rental car companies in the US that rent out cars for inter-state travel with the possibility to return the car in another state? It would be pretty great if I could rent a car in NY, drive it down to Miami and then return it there.

I drove from Florida to Nova Scotia last year, it was a long haul and my buddy wanted to get home quick so we didn't have much time for sightseeing. I made a point of stopping in Savannah, Georgia and Charleston, South Carolina as I heard that both are nice cities and I was impressed with both and will return one day to stay longer, especially in Charleston. Boston is another great city that we stopped in but not for long, I will hit that up again, one of these days I'd like to take an Amtrak trip from Boston and head south and properly check out all of the east coast cities on the way because I didn't have enough time on that trip, the east coast of the USA has a lot of cool shit going on and things to see.
