"Tie Fighter" - Cool 80s styled animated Star Wars Short

A fan of the Star Wars game "Tie Fighter" made this over the course of four years. I found this to be a wee bit better than the SW Prequels.

That was a great short. Driving soundtrack that was mostly an extended guitar solo. No stupid teddy bears, just hard core space battles, and cool animation effects showing the pilots in their fighters. I think star wars would be a lot better if it was hard core military science fiction space opera. Unfortunately, they always have to have retarded child oriented characters like the fat mouse in the Disney Cinderella movie, or the donkey and snowman in Frozen.

It was interesting to see who the film made me want to root for.

I'm the tower of power, too sweet to be sour. I'm funky like a monkey. Sky's the limit and space is the place!

One thing I don't get about Star Wars, are the storm troopers and TIE fighter pilots real people or clones? The movies never show them without their helmets on. Is it to dehumanize them so it doesn't seem as violent that they get killed right and left?

Going by the OT alone, the implication is that the stormtroopers are regular joes due to how Han and Luke are able to capture armor that fits them in New Hope.

Now, taking the latter two prequels into account, the implication is the OT stormtroopers are the same as the Jango Fett clones from EP2 and 3.

And yes, they're meant to be faceless mooks, no different than the droid soldiers that get popped.

They're clones early the early days of the Empire and just normal humans later once the clone supply started drying up.

I remember playing Tie Fighter as a kid. Great game and cool short.
