It's spreading - Yes means Yes comes to the UK

Toxic ideology spreading. And I fear what the results may yield.

Men accused of date rape will need to convince police that a woman consented to sex as part of a major change in the way sex offences are investigated.

The Director of Public Prosecutions said it was time for the legal system to move beyond the concept of “no means no” to recognise situations where women may have been unable to give consent.

Alison Saunders said rape victims should no longer be “blamed” by society if they are too drunk to consent to sex, or if they simply freeze and say nothing because they are terrified of their attacker.

Instead, police and prosecutors must now put a greater onus on rape suspects to demonstrate how the complainant had consented “with full capacity and freedom to do so”.

Campaigners described the move as “a huge step forward” in ensuring fewer rapists escape justice.

New guidance will be issued to all police forces and prosecutors as part of a “toolkit” to move rape investigations into the 21st century.
Mrs Saunders said: “For too long society has blamed rape victims for confusing the issue of consent - by drinking or dressing provocatively for example - but it is not they who are confused, it is society itself and we must challenge that.

After reading the cautionary tale of how the madness spread to New York, I thought that common sense would prevail and that here in the UK, at least, the burden would be shared equally between both parties.
Wishful thinking.

I fret for the men without the information shared here in the manosphere about how to protect themselves from false rape accusations.

And the worst part is that the only concrete way to do so would be with recorded sound or photographic evidence, which would result in continued prosecution for unlawful recording of an individual even in circumstances where it becomes both warranted and necessary to ensure the deliverance of justice so that a man's freedom be protected.

Whether or not these measures become enshrined in law is yet to be seen, but considering the current Government's appeasement policy towards women (read: vote winner) and the current infatuation here in Parliament with female representation et cetera it seems that it has the potential to be come reality.

And in the unlikely event that reason would prevail, it still would be unable to prevent such measures being enacted in the so-called 'Second Set of Books' i.e. the Policies, Procedures and Protocols of the authorities.

My initial reaction when I read the paper this morning pretty much sums up my entire response to this news:

I remember reading that around a quarter of western women are on anti depression or other mental drugs of some sort.

This is pretty scary. They've essentially made sex illegal without a copyright, so to speak.

Two points:

1). This is going to become the "recovered-memory therapy" hysteria of our age.

2). Since a lot of women drink before sex, this is retroactively going to make a lot of sex illegal, which I'm sure is what the greedy lawyers and prison builders want.

Regarding recovered memories: Back in the '80s and '90s, psychologists came up with the idea -- now largely debunked -- that women were repressing memories of horrible childhood sexual abuse. So you had women bringing their fathers or other men to trial decades after the fact using questionable evidence.

So, in essence, any women could levy any accusation against any man for any wrong allegedly done at any time. There are a lot of horror stories about this. This new law will bring all that back.

Regarding retroactive illegal sex: Men and women have always had a few drinks and gone to bed together. But now any White Knight or SJW can ask a woman if she had a drink and if she did and regrets the encounter, they can make like the "recovered memory" shrinks and convince her to bring the man to trial.*

This is the government attempting to play the role the church played in times long ago. The difference is that only men will be in the crosshairs of the powers-that-be this time around. Scary stuff.

* Has anyone ever had a drunk or stoned woman call them in the middle of the night and ask them to come over to have sex? I have. And thanks to this law, what once were wild memories have now turned into potential lawsuits.

What on earth happened to presumption of innocence?

Furthermore, the cynic in me can't help but wonder if beta creeps, or those retrospectively judged as such, ultimately lose out of this legislation. I can see alphas, or those with game, ultimately benefiting from this (if perhaps coming second to women.

Interesting point - how many years ex post facto will this apply to? What sort of limits will there be. With the burden of proof on the man, I can see a raft of potential rape allegations springing out of the woodwork.

UK is not the first in Europe to introduce this, though. Like a plantation slave who tries to act whiter than his white master, Croatia is already one step ahead of you and has already introduced "affirmative consent" in 2012:

Quote:Quote:

"This law means that the burden of proof lies on the accused person to prove that consent was present. The prosecutor merely needs to prove that a sexual act happened, and it is up to the accuser to prove consent," explained the Croatian Supreme Court judge Marin Mrčela.

These lines -

"For too long society has blamed rape victims for confusing the issue of consent - by drinking"

If put into law, could you use that if say you were caught drink driving?

My burden of proof is this.

Does she have bruises, scars, scratches, broken bones etc? Pretty sure forceful vaginal and anal intercourse creates rips and tears which are easily examined.

Do I have any injuries? A person can put up one hell of a fight.

Many men have had sex with British women off their face with drink and/or drugs. The majority of these women cannot bear to have sex with a guy sober.

Dude it's already illegal in France to paternity test your kids. That's easily in the same league as 'yes means yes' laws.

Yeah that's some fucked up shit. I guess there video trophies become required out of self-preservation rather than for personal gratification.

I'd like to hear anyone trying to refute that point by comparing it to impaired driving! Shit is starting to become too 1984ish for me around here!! Only thing I can think of is to steal a bitch phone while she's doing something else and send a txt from her phone to yours saying that the sex was so good and that I felt so alive and well in it or something like that to protect yourself.

This is the big thing, and it's far worse than "yes means yes."

Thus far, "yes means yes" is confined to those Cultural Marxist bootcamps called universities and while yes its procedures can easily ruin a man's life, at least they are extra-legal procedures which cannot point the guns of the state at you.

Here the guns of the state are actually being pointed at you, full-force. Centuries of legal traditions and safeguards against tyranny are now being turned on their head. This would be unconstitutional in the U.S., no questions asked. In the UK? Perfectly acceptable.

I think ROK might want to have a stickied post with a lot of detail about how to avoid a false rape accusation for the benefit of our UK readership, especially guys stumbling onto the site for the first time.

Alongside the old adage of be attractive and don't be unattractive, you need at minimum an audio recording of all your sexual encounters (that's what I do). And I'm quickly thinking you're gonna need outright video evidence soon if not already in all cases.

Where are all the real rape victims...seems like they should be screaming from the rooftops how ridiculous this is.

Edit: I suppose it's because the real rape victims can't actually form a group against this because the lines are so blurred. In order to congregate and form a group against this, you would have to scrutinize a rape victim's story.

In all fairness there has been no change of the law here.

Any product recommendations? I'm serious. Seems like this is going to be a necessity very soon.

Of course feminists will probably try to get video evidence defined as inadmissible or some such shit.

Yeah...The problem is that these changes come from the top first with "new guidelines". Then comes the legislation a year or two later.

This crap is going to spread to wherever women are out of control, because false rape accusations are the ultimate power trip and attention-whoring experience for them. They love it.

The root of all this is unattractive women who can't stand that other better looking women get attention from men and better quality sexual partners. This is institutionalized cockblocking. This is the fat mother hen at the bar whose up in your grill with an angry face when her hot friend is trying to make out with you.

Take care of those titties for me.
