How long before the first conspiracy theories hit the web?

Just a preview:

1. Its not Bin Laden, here's ten reasons why:

2. Bin Laden's Death certificate has never been shown! WHY???????

3. Proof that Bin Laden is Alive! Bin Laden's face appeared in the US flag behind Obama, when he announced his death!

can you hear it? that's the sound of nutjobs frenetically banging away on their keyboards all across the country...

This will certainly help the US economy. The world should be happy he's gone - his terror cell has effected the lives of thousands and thousands of people. Freedom is definitely not free, several men and women in uniform (plus civilians) have lost their lives in an effort to keep and make the world a safer place. Personally I hope he rots in hell forever (along with his supporters).

I'm in Iraq right now, you should see the celebrating from the ones who are aware of his death.

Right on. We should certainly be grateful for the sacrifices made.

I'm not sure I understand why this will be good for the economy. I'm definitely not disagreeing, and it certainly can't be BAD for the economy, I'm just not having any kneejerk/instinctual reasons for knowing why it would help out.

Several countries have pledged funds to support the war on terror however the US has pledged and has done the most. The US doesn't have the bank roll ability (flat-out) so we borrow the money from other countries (mainly China) increasing our national debt. With bin ladens death we wont need all the extra support i.e. private contractors, boots on the ground, drone attacks etc... the US will no longer have to borrow the monies (at high interest rates) to finance the war.

I think we will. It's campaign time and President Obama wants to get re-elected. He knows killing bin laden will be a plus with voters going to the polls but he also knows if he can create more jobs in the US and/or strengthen the economy he'll win a second term. I guarantee you his cabinet and campaign managers have been talking about this way before now. Love him or hate him ... Obama is a smart man!

I stated "several men and women in uniform (plus civilians) have lost their lives in an effort to keep and make the world a safer place"

I didn't list a particular country but to be more specific ... all the coalition forces who have lost service members (plus civilians) to include... UK, Germany, Australia, and last but not least America.

I sympathize for any innocent person who has lost their lives but i also know that all civilians aren't innocent. I know first hand how some villages (entire) are filled with insurgents and insurgent sympathizers. The question is do you send a drone in and wipe out the whole village or do you hold off and let the 10 or so innocent civilians live their lives while the other 40+ bad guys plan and attack others. I’m not here to say which decision is right or wrong... I’m just glad I don’t have to make those decisions.

Dude, your opening a can of worms here. With all due respect, maybe chill out with all of that highly controversial talk. This is an international forum. Internationally, most people don't agree with the perspective that you are providing. You certainly have a right to your views, and to express them, but your going to get a lot of people unnecessarily heated on this specific thread and its going to derail fast...

That being said, there is no way that this will end the 'war on terror'.

this multi trillion war.....the circle was not Bin laden....everyone know and admit...or if they dont...they accept it in their heart..that it was all to gain power...to control OIL ..

i have a simple question....who is facing terror in their own country?...Yes america faced it eleven years before in the face of worldtrade center attack.....but after that..who is facing the terrorism...who have been facing the terror in those eleven years?

Osama was just a symbol...the real intention is something else....i am sure all you know the answer...but few will accept.

Anyone who still believes that there is this ghost boogie man named "Bin Laden" made up by defense contractors who sell millions of military weapons to our military to start a war needs to wake up.

hell, if you still believe that an airplane crashed into the pentagon on 9/11, you've been under a rock this whole decade.

Everyone on this thread should NETFLIX documentary called "in plane sight" and then comment on Bin Laden.

You're right man, I'm going to chill and keep my comments to myself since its creating a panic. I joined this forum to read about/discuss broads anyways (after reading the black men in sweden thread) so let me get back to doing that. after all... i know most people on this forum has a top secret clearance and can substantiate their claims with documented facts lol.

There is no oil in Afghanistan.

and there was not bin laden in afghanistan as well.

america wanted to ''clean'' afghanistan from his own created ''Taliban''...and wanted to get hold on that territory...its all pre planned...all innocent people died in so called war on terrorism in which america is very much lost.

and the history is witness...all super powers attacked on afghanistan...and all shattered.

proud to be american...but not proud to be human now because what has happend.

ha..yeah, me too. I tried at least. This forum should be like a bar: No politics nor religion. While everyone here gains a lot from each other in other areas of life, they will soon learn that they all have vastly different political leanings. Nothing mucks things up faster. Witness the post above yours, gringoed. Speakeasy is surprised at Mixx's politics. I'm sure that Mixx is equally surprised at Speakeasy's politics. I have opinions on all of this too, but I have no interest in rehashing them here. Whats the point? Didn't everyone argue themselves to death enough from 2001-2008? [Image: wink.gif] have fun fellas...!
