Getting Stood Up

So, I had a tinder date set up for this past Saturday at around 10 pm or so. I went through all the motions on Tinder and got a whatsapp number and everything. We vibed well on there and I put forward the date idea of just hanging out a bar and then going to a club for dancing.

Then the comes the day of the date, I send a confirmation text about 3 hours before and get no response. So, I'm kind to thinking to myself that this may be a potential flake. I went anyways because it's a friend's bar and there is usually something to do regardless of what happens.

In the end, chick never shows up. The dumb cunt doesn't even bother sending me a apology text. Deleted her number and put her on the next column. End up going somewhere else that night to game chicks and come home empty handed. Luckily I got 4 other date candidates, so I'm not in dire straits at the moment.

What's the general course of action that should be taken with regards to flaking? Is there any way to prevent them? I've generally come to accept that they're a natural part of game.

Don't sweat it and move on to the next one without missing a beat.

No there isn't...like you said it's just part of the game. On the bright side it's a process that filters out more obnoxious women.

You are right to accept it as part of the game. From your post it sounds like you did everything right. If I get flaked on they get radio silence and are forgotten about, unless an apology and an attempt on their part to reschedule is sent. All I can say is build more comfort and attraction but thats easier to do in person than online. I don't use online game so I can't help you there.

It feels like crap, but its part of the game.

Imagine you're a fisherman, do you get angry if 1 fish escapes? Not if you've got 100 more in the net.

Follow my paraphrase of Roosh's idea of the "Fuck Funnel"

Fill the Fuck Funnel!!!

Get prospects going in the top, a lot never come out the bottom.

But the confirmation text is a good idea, you knew she had flaked when she didn't respond. NEVER believe a woman remembers something more than a few hours.

EDIT: One idea I heard was dictate a specific time to meet or call, like 7:17 etc. She'll both remember it better, and the point at which she's flaked is more clear-- 7:18.

It's the game. And since you were a Tinder match, you weren't "real" to her at all.

Good move going to your friend's bar. Lotta guys get stuck sitting someplace with no obvious Plan B. Give yourself some points for that.

As for deleting her #, like has been said before, just put cold #'s and flakes on your mass text list. Some of them flaky bitches pop back up on the radar. In which case you use whatever game you need, bang the shit out of her and toss her out. The "treat em like a prostitute" routine actually turns some girls on.

Archie, for some reason, I feel I'm lowering myself by texting flakes. It feeds a lizard's need for attention when she sees a text from a guy saying whassap after she blatantly flaked on him. It pours fuel on her behaviour and makes it worse for the next guy, in my opinion.

Some of the more honest lizards that I have dated enjoy collecting numbers so that they can get their ego stroked by 'losers'.

So, the ROI on flakes, is it worth it to keep those flakes around honestly? Out of all my flakes, I can really only remember one re-igniting and coming around to my place after a resend.

My tendency has been to delete those hos.

Here's what I do:

Delete numbers of outright flakes (being stood up without prior notification).

Retain numbers of flakes that at least give some lame excuse in the lead-up.

I've banged some in the latter group but none in the former.

Agree with the above post that attempting to re-engage chicks who've stood you up outright is not a good idea for one's self worth.

Principle or Pussy?

The player's eternal question.

To me the mass text option takes some of the sting away and it's low emotional investment.

Was just debating about this with a friend today. If your end game is laying girls and receiving a high level of respect then delete her number. If you're just in it to get the puss and bounce, take up WIA advice, save the sloots number, mass text her(and other flakes) a few days/months later.

I hate that feel. Best thing you can do is just move on.

I had a chick pull the, "yeah, Now that I think about it, we shouldn't see each other again." on me. I would have given a fuck, but I have a ton of other leads i'm working on. These guys are right when they tell you to move on and work on more leads. Hope that helps.

I will be checking my PMs weekly, so you can catch me there. I will not be posting.

I'd keep her around on the snapchat, you never know when that can turn a POS into an easy lay

my view is that you don't delete the #, although i understand that inclination. it does seem defeatist to me and slightly butthurt to just delete the number in a reactionary manner.

ask yourself if a guy pulling two girls a day would even bother deleting a number? probably not, he's too busy.

if you don't want to add her to the mass text list, which i also get, i would suggest an alternate strategy. go in and edit her first name to be "XXX (flaker)" and then do the soft next. she may try to contact you and if she does, you can treat her appropriately (i.e. "flaker game"). if she never contacts you, you lost only the seconds it took to edit her name.

Wait a minute! Do not delete her number!

Why should you let her get off that easy? Your time should be valuable and if a girl wastes your time like that you better make damn well sure she knows!

First find out the reason why she didn't meet (only if its a really good reason should you consider meeting her again). Then tell her how she disrespected you or whatever words you want. THEN if she tries to meet you again and feels bad tell her you are not going to waste your time with something like her. Then you are free to delete her number.

Girls like this should be accountable for what they are doing. And they will only feel accountable if you make them believe (whether true or not) that she just missed out on meeting an absolutely great guy.

Fuck em.

^Glad to hear I'm not the only one who gets the urge to call out these bitches just for the sake of doing so.

Set up a date and then cancel it well ahead of time? Annoying and somewhat rude

Set up a date and then cancel it the day of? Incredibly fucking rude

Set up a date and then just disappear, ignore texts and don't show up? One of the most inexcusable things I've ever heard of. I seriously hope anyone who would even consider doing this ends up alone and soul-crushingly depressed for the rest of their life. On top of the run-of-the-mill rudeness of cancelling plans, you're potentially causing someone to take significant time and effort out of their day to get ready, drive somewhere, wait awkwardly at some venue wondering what the fuck is going on, and then drive back home, when all you had to do to prevent this situation was take 10 seconds of your precious time to text "hey, sorry, i won't be able to make it tonight." How selfish, sociopathic, and fucked up must one be refuse to take a few seconds to prevent someone who kindly offered to buy her dinner/drinks/whatever from wasting a couple hours of his life in one of the most awkward, undignified ways imaginable? Bitches who do this need to be told how unacceptable it is in the harshest way you can muster. Do not try to fuck these dregs; let their miserable pussies rot on the shelf and pray every night that there's no guy out there desperate enough to put up with their bullshit 2-year-old behavior.

Last year, POF chick stood me up for a Friday dinner. We had agreed to the venue and time a few hours prior. I sat there for an hour like an idiot. Texted her via Kik twice and then finally left.

Bitch was crazy cuz she inexplicably blocked my username (I found out when I messaged her via a fake username).

First and only time I have been stood up. Never again.

It can leave a bad taste in your mouth, but after you pick your ego off the ground understand she did you a favor by disqualifying herself

Now go out and pursue chicks who will return your interest

What the hell could possibly be running through her mind to block your number?

"OMG, why does this creepy guy keep texting me?" Bitch, because he's sitting awkwardly at a restaurant waiting for your ass to follow through on something you agreed to do! Shit makes my blood boil.

Surprised that happened when you set it up the day of. I've met a ton of online girls and managed to never have that situation by always confirming the day of. Recently it saved my ass for like the 3rd or 4th time maybe. The girl never responded to my confirmation, so I didn't show up.

By "quality", do you mean "not crazy" or "8+"?
In my experience, there are not so many crazies (nor so many 8+ [Image: tongue.gif]).

I've met/banged over the years:

mid 7's - 1
low 7's - 3

You can get a ton of young (20-25yo) mid to high 6s though which is kind of nice with little effort. As soon as you get tired of that level though online sucks for most guys unless you live in Lower Manhattan / abroad or have model photogenic looks.

I don't online game much because of this.

I read in another thread about setting up a date and then not bother texting/calling to confirm until SHE does, ie. she's the one getting anxious why you're not texting to confirm the day before/on the day of ("Did he forget about me?"). This in order to minimize the risk of flaking, but let's face it; if she's gonna flake, she's gonna flake. With this strategy, at least you'd retain some modicum of mojo.

I've had this work, without realizing it, due to a genuinely busy schedule. I'm going to apply this strategy for a while and evaluate.

I think a couple of different ways can work. I prefer to send a text right before I leave saying "see you at the place at 8pm"

If she immediately texts back she's not coming then you can choose to ignore or respond. I just ignore and go out anyway, unless I feel like going to the gym instead.
