So anyone have a similar experience?

The other day in Sabang, Philippines I was talking to a bar girl and she told me that in Boracay some of the local girls will have sex with foreign men and not expect any money in return. She said they do it for fun.

When I heard this I was like wtf because when I was in Boracay recently I met this girl at a club and she ended up back at my place. I banged her and then she left in the morning. She didn't ask for anything and we didn't exchange any numbers. A few days later I made out with a another chick at a club and at 5am in the morning she insisted on coming back to my place. She claimed she wasn't a prostitute and actually got mad when I even asked her. I was so drunk and tired I told her to bug off.

I know these chicks in Boracay are basically hookers, I mean they are probably looking for a guy from abroad to buy them lots of stuff as opposed to getting paid immediately for sex. Still, after the Sabang bar girl told me about this, I started to wonder wtf. I've been to a lot of places but I haven't seen this time of one-night stand for free behavior from local girls who more likely than not are just prostitutes. If they are really after money then they do a really good job of concealing it or maybe they just have no idea what they are doing.

We call this phenomenon "swinging for the fences." If you are youngish (under 55 in the Fils) and have a dash of game these chicks will sleep with you for the air conditioning.

I will say this-- if a girl has ever at all dabbled with freelancing or even had a foreign boyfriend before you will generally just jump on it both for the experiences foreigners bring to them (travel around, eating at restos, A/C .. but even the girls who haven't yet "opted in" to dating foreign guys are generally holding back for supply and not scrupples.

My net interpretation of the "why the hell are these girls fucking me" phenomenon in the Fils is heart on their sleeve glorification of foreigners mixed with no strategic considerations all served on a backdrop of EXTREME competition.

In communities where available women significantly outnumber men like in the Fils (and in some African American communities in the US) women are required to jump on it!

I was discussing this thread at lunch with my buddy who lives in the Fils and we came up with a whole class of ladies that are relatively common, and might be what you encountered in Boracay. Essentially girls that are on the dole from boyfriends overseas. As guys who live in Asia we are constantly getting jumped by girls who basically got introduced to the bar/nightlife scene by their first foreign boyfriend, and now him or another gent is essentially funding their continuation of the party lifestyle (95% of the time without his knowledge).

If you are in this forum you know it-- if you are sending money to your Asian sweetheart, that money is buying drinks for those of us on the ground.

Interesting. I met a bar girl who told me that her first boyfriend (a foreigner who broke her cherry when she was like 17) would send her 1k USD a month while he was living in the US. Then her next BF would send her 500 a month and he would fly out to the Phil from California every three months.

She claimed she would go back to her home province, Samar, and not work at all when these guys were supporting her. She claims she gets paid about $1.75 a night for working ten hours as a bar girl serving whiskey shots. Don't know what to believe.

It's all very interesting but I mean I can't imagine sending a check $500-1000 a month just to bang her every few months.

Anyway, the Phil is one interesting place. There's a fine line between prostitution and "normal" behavior. Even Thailand isn't this odd in my experience.

A huge percentage of first lays in the Philippines are inadvertant shoring. Got a bunch of anecdotes.... you show up the 'pines, hang out your first few nights at some tourist bars, spit some "amazingly effective game" and boom... you are a shoremonger

That's why I'm saying it's a fine line between a hooker and a non-pro in the Phil. You can't always tell. I mean honestly, IMO, since most true non-pros in the Phils are from rather conservative Catholic families, I think you generally have to consider any girl that puts out immediately the same night to be a pro. Having been on over forty dates with filipinas, and having screwed over a dozen of them without paying, I have to say that many of them are easy as hell.

But it can be confusing of course. Sometimes hot club girls bang super easy, other times a 6 will want a long term relationship and won't budge even if you go caveman.


As for the the OPs question on Boracay, yes. I had a conversation with a filipina about boracay, and she told me that that is the place filipinas go to "let loose" so-to-speak and let go of their normal conservatism a bit.
