Just type in the ip address of the ftp server at the top. Add the Login name and PW in the fields next to it and click on quick connect.
Your pc files are on the left. The remote computer's files are on the right. Just drag and drop. That's it.

I had just dowloaded Filezilla a few days ago to upload some files to my new hosting service. Here's a crappy picture along with some instructions/explanations.

1) Host name. This could be in the form of an IP address or a url. If you're uploading stuff to a personal website called "veloce.com" then you could just put in "veloce.com" into the host field name. Otherwise, just use the IP of whatever server you're connecting to.

2) Username: you should have obtained a username from whatever server you're connecting to. Input it here.

3) Password: self explanatory

4) Port: If you're connecting via a regular FTP session (unencrypted) use 21. For S/FTP sessions with encryption use 22.

Click "quickconnect." Shit should connect and populate 5/6/7/8

5) This is the directory tree on your local machine. You can navigate to the directory holding the files you want to upload just like you normally would on your PC.

6) Same as 5 except this is the directory tree on the remote server you're uploading to.

7) When you click on a directory in 5), the contents of 5) i.e. the actual files, are displayed here. This is the field you can drag individual files from to drop them into.....

8) The contents of the folder you selected in 6). Just drag and drop the shit from 7) into here.

Hope this helps.

Fast Eddie did a very nice breakdown, but as with anything computer-related that is somewhat common, search is your very best friend as it's likely been answered. The first link when I searched "Filezilla how to" in google was the very documentation for FileZilla (the manual isthe first place you should start for most software):
