1. People need to stop popping into threads just to tell us that they have no idea who people are.
If you don't know who the characters in the story are..Why do you care to be in the conversation?
You're not cool by saying you don't know the people. If they are in the news..it more than likely means they are known.

This seems sort of irrelevant. He (and Ryan Lewis) released their breakout album in late 2012 and then toured almost the entirety of 2013. They've said they're going to take a break and enjoy their success before writing their next album. Keep in mind that they're not signed to a major label, so they can do whatever they want. Yeah for a signed rapper to stay relevant they have to do that. But they're white guys who make music for white people and have massive brand loyalty. It is more fair to compare them to a rock band who just released and toured a hype debut and is now taking their time to follow it up.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis snagged two #1 songs on their last album. If that wasn't massive enough their other two singles both made it in the top 40. Iggy also shares a record with The Beatles for having the top two songs on the charts with their first two songs. Those aren't small achievements.

I love Kendrick but he's more acclaimed than popular. Macklemore has more money than him and Iggy is more famous. Sure he's better than both combined times a billion but we are talking about relevancy here and they both have the demonstrable data on their side.
