Smartphone App Development

Anyone know any decent app developing platforms for people with very limited programming knowledge? I know App Inventor is one, but until I figure out this problem with my droid -> PC connectivity I can't move forward.

If there are any app dev's out there looking for a project I've got one and would like to collaborate.

Thanks.

Im not expert, but I've done some amateur programming in the past. Granted it was C and C++ not Java, but I have an understanding of the basics. Let me know what you're trying to do and I'll see what I can find

It depends on which platform you're going to develop (iPhone? Android? Symbian? WinPhone?) and what kind of app. There are some basic tools for some platforms (like Android), but the apps you can develop using those tools would be extremely limited in functionality.

As many as possible, but at the very least android/iphone. It would be a pretty simple app I think. Though I don't know much about developing them, I'd assume the most difficult part would be adding security.
