Has anyone used a private investigator before and if so how did you like the services they provided (or if you work as a PI I have a few questions for you)?
Here is my scenario.
1) My personal mail (bank & statements, bills, or even anything that contains enough personal information to create additional credit cards or even wire money) is missing. I requested two $1000 disbursements from 2 different financial institutions two weeks ago and only received one (I dont even use the mail anymore now. I just have whatever I need wired to me as a precautionary measure). I pretty much have written off the last $1000 disbursement & if I dont receive the check in the mail I will just have that wired to me as well.
2) Someone makes random attempts to charge my CC (my card was replaced twice b/c of this)
3) My phone & cable services get turned off randomly (the billing is paid and always current)
What I mentioned is considered wire & mail fraud.
I always take precaution whenever I do anything & have reported these incidents to the FBI as well as to the ic3 site. I also had a long consultation with a field agent & he explained that the federal agencies (FBI or any of the other DOJ agencies. Unfortunately this includes the local PD as well) do not act on each complaint filed but they gather a list of complaints, look to see if there is a recurring pattern, then they decide whether they want to pursue anything at all. My only option would be to hire a private investigator and from what the P.I. told me on the phone they mostly go after cases that are larger in sizes.
TIA for your help.
