Suggestions for December travel for USA folks

I found out I have a few days off to use before end of the year. Any party spots Dec 14th - 21st? Its a week before Christmas so most places will be dead slow.

Northern Europe is about $700 but cold as hell. Southern is going for around $1300
Cancun is about $400 but again, not sure how slow it will be.

South america out since I dont speak any spanish
Asia out due to time frame.

Northern Europe is about $700 That must be flight only. Food and room in Europe is expensive.

I wouldn't rule out Montréal since it's still lively around this time of year. The only concern would be the weather.

South America: Better choose a coastal or tourist city as most people will be on their summer/christmas holiday, which usually runs 3 weeks and starts on the days you mentioned. They'll likely visit a beach.

Where in the US do you live currently? Are there any cities in the USA that you have not visited before?

You could always check out Los Angeles, Miami, Las Vegas or New Orleans if you are looking for warmer weather, party towns and places where people speak English.

If you dont mind the cold, you could check out Canada - Vancouver, Montreal, or maybe even Toronto (though the RVF consensus is that this is the worst city in North America).

Personally I think cruises and resorts are lame but those are always an option.

You could also look into the areas in the Caribbean.

Chicago, and correct on flight only.

Here is my short list of spots with the downsides

Phx/Scottsdale - ASU out on break so a ghost town probably , would be for cougar hunting/cheap trip
Miami - Flooded with family's?
Clearwater/Tampa- U of F out, also heard clearwater beach has become thug beach

N.O been there during Mardi gras
Charleston - Never been so would be new spot. Not sure about weather
Caribbean- Not into black girls plus I am thinking about going to trinidad and tobago carnival if I ever do go
Cancun- Did during spring break, I could go again for a few days but outside of nightlife kinda boring.
Europe- airfare to anywhere warm is expensive

Cancun has people during "el puente" (vacation period) but the west coast has more people.

With Cancun I'd think those on break in South America would be flooding in. Only reason I'd consider going back. Am I wrong?

Im thinking about doing cancun or playa del carmen, cancun I already did during spring break.

most forum post say pick playa over cancun but does that hold true for non crowded months?

I'm not 100% sure, but judging from my instagram timeline last year, Miami is pretty bumping.
