Alone vs. Wings
04-18-2011, 09:37 AM
i can not replicate the energy that i have when im with my wings.
and i really don't want this to happen.
when im with my wings i can absolutely do anything that i want
when im alone, the exact opposite is true
how can i be like that when im alone?
i've tried it several times but the "self amusing" factor disappears.
and i would end up doing "seeking approval" behaviors
what is the cure or what are your thoughts on this

Well if you have good wings with high energy that enhance your pickup efforts, why would you want to replicate or change this? Just stick to going out with them.
Now, if they are no longer available (married, moved out of town, etc.) you may find it better to roll solo than with some Joe Schmoe.
The best way to roll is, in descending order:
1. With 1 (one) good wingman
2. Solo
3. With bad wingmen
4. With a bunch of douchebags, buying bottle service and slapping high-fives

I always go out alone. I dont have any good male friends around here so its just circumstance. For me the feeling I get when alone is one of "if I fuck up, I've got no place to go back too" This can be quite literal when you're in a crowded bar where going to approach a girl will result in your seat or spot being lost. This'll leave you just standing there if you get rejected, looking for a place to go.
One thing I do is if I'm gonna make an approach, get a full drink first and tag your spot, throw a coaster or a napkin over the drink to mark your territory. I'm also starting to realize the benefits of good rapport with the bartenders too. If you can get on a casual chatting level with Moe then you can go back to him and shoot the shit.
