I thought about going to a Thai island and partying with European chicks but I read in the news that full moon parties have been banned in Thailand.

Do you know fun places in SEA for a New Year party? I personally like Asian girls and do not mind European backpacker girls (excluding the UK/Ireland). Does anyone know if/where Japanese and Koreans go overseas for the New Year period?

actually the real full moon party in Thailand in Koh Phangan is still on. Phangan is excluded from the ban. that's what i read in the news. i've been to the Koh Phangan's full moon party n its just ruined now.. i have heard n read good things in this forum about the small scale beach parties in Koh Tao, Koh Phi Phi. I would say that would be ur best bet for New Year. but that's just me. cheers
