That's called joint custody. But one parent is considered the primary custodial parent even if they both have equal time with the kid. Sounds like he had a good lawyer.

Of course those payments will only impact a small minority of high-earning women. There is also a huge number of those women who don't pay and don't risk jail-time. So the law still favors women, but at least some are getting fleeced a bit. And Halle Berry really can afford it. Judge should readjust the payments and up them a bit.

What's she complaining about? She got off easy. 16k/month is not that much for her. Other male celebs pay much more. I read somewhere that Charlie Sheen pays between 50-100k/month in child support to Denise Richards.

I also hope that the judge increases the payments. The only way things like alimony and child support will get for men is when more women start feeling the pinch.

The rationale behind child support is that the child should be able to live somewhat close to the lifestyle that they've become accustomed to.

In the NBA cases, most of them bum bitches would be in lower class outer suburbs, inner city hoods, or section 8 housing.

Meanwhile, Daddy's crib isn't a warzone and has good schools. Little Dequavious shouldn't have to be dodging hand grenades from militarized cops ,sniper bullets from the neighborhood watch, and gang initiations, cause Mummy doesn't like that Daddy has some "special" friends.

Same thing applies here. If she sends the kid off with Dad, and he's sharing an apartment with some male model in NYC, wouldn't it be better for everyone involved for the ex husband and the child to have a nice 2 bedroom Condo in a decent hood?

I don't think this BS will end just because some high earning women have to pay child support or alimony. The vast majority of women still benefit from the current system and in fact purposely use divorce as a financial windfall. Women will never give that up even if a small segment of women get abused by the system. They will always use the children as game bait to keep child support coming even if they use 80% of the money buying designer handbags. What will happen is guys like Berry's ex will be labeled deadbeat scumbags for forcing successful women to pay up (nevermind that this is perfectly acceptable when the genders are reversed).
