I'm a huge metalhead. And when I mean huge, I mean that I can hold a conversation about pretty much any obscure band in the entire genre. That being said, I don't really like dance music at all. I just kinda shuffle round in a way that seems right to me, and will of course start rubbing up on girls' asses.
Of course, there are some good songs, but I guess I'm too much of a "metal elitist" to truly enjoy that kind of dance.
exactly what krusyos said.
I fake it till I make it
I fake it till I make it

Cheersguys fuck i need a new keyboard,Yeah anacrusis, running wild, dokken and overkill all obscure as fuck in U.K.But try as i want this danc/club stuff is err well shit, guess i'll just have to wing it or find the uncomfortable goth chick that everyone is frowning/spitting at,she's probably the hottest anyway and may actually have a personality! was just wondering thanks for the replies guys
Most of the types of venues you're going to find decent pussy at play garbage pop music. There's really not much of a way around this.
The best thing to do is just ignore the music and not even mention it. If you tell a girl that the music sucks, they're likely to get pissed off and the interaction is over. Realize most women have horrible taste in music and you can't take what they like seriously anyway. If you're already treating women like big children (like any red pill guy should be), this doesn't become much of an issue.
I've always said the same reason most women don't listen to metal is the same reason most 35 year old men don't listen to stuff like Miley Cyrus. Imagine women listening to music that's pure testosterone and aggression and older men listening to something meant for 12 year old girls hitting puberty. It doesn't seem right.

two options..game in your niche or open your mind
(for the record, I hate club tracks)
(for the record, I hate club tracks)
Its just a trade off. I go to metal shows for music, EDM and country shows for the girls

Yeah, I really only dance when I kinda have to or I just feel like showing off for my buddies as the hottest girls grind against me.
Speaking of shows, I go to see Amon Amarth next week with Sabaton and Skeletonwitch!
Metal shows and game don't really mix. In fact, they have one of the worst combinations of ratios, quality, and logistics you can find. Go see a band to enjoy the music, and focus on gaming girls elsewhere.
Besides, the whole point of going to a club/rave/concert is to have fun, and if you hate the music it'll be that much harder to generate the vibe you need to attract girls. Focus on day game, online game, laid back dive bar game, etc.
Off-topic: A girl in high school once overheard me listening to Lykathea Aflame on the bus, and she spent months trying to convince the Christian crowd that I was a "devil worshipper" because of it

I'm a big metal-core fan personally. (Killswitch Engage, August Burns Red, Parkway Drive, As I Lay Dying,) as well as some of the more metal influenced hardcore like Stick To Your Guns and The Ghost Inside. The more aggressive nature of metal is something I've always enjoyed, specifically screaming - when well done and somewhat legible.
It's tough, but one thing I've realized about the crappy pop music out there is that you need to pretend to enjoy it around girls. Throw in some random dancing and suddenly you stand out even more in their eyes. It's pretty damn hard to pick up girls at metal shows because the ratios are so bad and often they aren't single.
If you delve into some of the hardcore/indie scene/pop punk the ratios are much better. Think bands like A Day To Remember, Silverstein, Senses Fail and bands like Defeater and La Dispute for the more indie influenced hardcore sides.

I need to fake liking modern pop garbage music all the time.
I HATE that kind of music!
And I hate to fake it.
It drives me nuts and earplugs are a good thing to have.
People who have no interest or a ear for music are the lucky ones here.
I would like to not care aswell, but I'm cranky with my musical taste and I can't help it.
The problem here is that rock music venues are a bad place for chasing pussy.
I don't like the rock n roll bitches or the heavy metal witches, but I like the music.
So if I want to go out at night I'm basicallly more or less forced to enter these soapy bubble pop garbage music clubs.
I use to be a BIG metalhead 10 years ago or so.
I went to a shit ton of concerts.
Death and other works of Chuck Schuldiner use to be my all time favourite music.
Slayer aswell, I have seen them at least 15 times playing live. I dig and own all their albums. I use to be a big fan of the old school Gothernburg scene also.
At The Gates,Entombed,Dark Tranquillity and The Haunted.
These days I don't really go to metal concerts anymore, and I also don't listen to much metal anymore. I still dig it if I see it live or on the radio.
Today I'm enjoying old school rock music, especially from the 70's. That's the best,
AC/DC, Motörhead,Sabbath,Žeppelin,Purple,Stones,Pink Floyd, and Beatles.
Even oldtime blues rock the hell of me.
Of modern rock music I'm a big fan of everything Josh Homme is involved in.
Queens of the Stone Age, Eagles of Death Metal, Kyuss, Them Crooked Vultures.
Love that stuff. The newest album of Arctic Monkeys is pretty damn good aswell.
HOWEVER. With that said, being a passionate lover of music I found it extremely hard to digest all these garbage radio modern day bubble pop music.
That's why I'm not a big fan of nightclubs or dancing, because the garbage music sucks the good and the positive energy out of me..
70's disco music was so much better. I wouldn't mind going to clubs if they play that kind of music.
Todays modern radio pop garbage music is for the simple minded people.
I have absolutley zero empathy or understanding for people who are taking a liking for it. It the music for a sheep in a herd.
Thank god for classical music.

Progressive Desensitisation is what you need if you can't stand dance music.
When you're working or exercising or sat on your laptop or whatever, find the type of music you want to one day enjoy. If you hate clubs for dance music, find a dance compilation on youtube or whatever. Keep listening in the background at an unobtrusive level.
If you listen for a couple of hours, there will be stuff you like. It might only be a couple of seconds. But chase those songs down, find what you like about it, find it elsewhere. Go on reddit and say, "Hey. I really like dance music with the strings in the background. What style is that, and what artists are there?"
You'll probably never get into dance music as much as you have metal, and you probably won't like it for the same reasons. There's probably not any dance music that is aggressive or testosterone fueled as heavy metal, but there are big parallels between the two types of music.
There's great dance music. There's great metal music. God knowws there's terrible stuff in both genres. All you have to do though is find your personal window into a new genre, and then you'll start to appreciate all of it a lot more.

Yeah, the only reasons I can tolerate dance music is because I associate it with positive experiences. I've always found a way to enjoy dances, even though I hate the music.
I fucking love square dancing though.

I'm a fan of both metal and EDM. :-)
Girls don't like really good EDM in the same way they don't like any decent music. If you go to a trance festival, the girls will be around for the famous guy who presses 'play' and then waves his hands in the air, but it's later (or on the second stages) that the really good music is played and the girls are nowhere to be seen.
Basically, girls like crap music. Don't go to concerts and gigs for the girls, go because you like the music. If you are out on the pull, you just have to put up with clubs that play Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga.
Women will like what you like. You can turn them on to anything. Don't sweat it. Just approach!!

This is true. Every girl I've spent some time with started to dig the music I was listening to. Or at least they pretended to like it...
Girls musical taste changes as the weather.

Great band. Are there many guys here that are part of alternative subcultures? Or do you just maintain a regular image but still like the music? Given that a lot of the women we despise are poster girls for that kind of thing (piercings, tattoos etc) I initially expected it not to be the case. I still very much keep up that image, its a holdover from my teenage years but it fits me and I'm comfortable with it. For the record I have several piercings, but no tattoos or stretched ears or anything.
Here's an interesting one: gaming WITHIN those subcultures. I've done most of my legwork with girls like that, as I happen to fit bang on the bullseye of what a good percentage of them find attractive. Sadly, it seems that the typical "warning signs" apply to a lot of those kind of females, and I have plenty of experience both first and second hand to prove it. As do some of you I suspect.

I maintain a pretty regular image, but that's because my niche focuses more on sorority sluts/basic bitches in undergrad. I mostly listen to metal when I'm in the gym or driving.
