Boob Jam: Games to depict 'unsexy reality' of breasts

Basically, it's a two-day conference for games developers on how to create more realistic tits in video games. Not excitingly realistic, mind you. Something far more mundane.

The whole thing started as a throwaway comment, a joke, on Twitter.

I would postulate that it still very much is. Says Jenn Frank, a 'scholar on videogame culture and history' and the one who came up with the idea:

"The underlying joke is that for a lot of people, breasts and having them is an incredibly unsexy reality," she said.

Quote:Quote:

The games it will aim to produce will portray breasts as anything but sexual. Hence the suggestion for a game about the frustrating search for a bra that fits or the fear that travels with every woman that goes for a mammogram.

What's next? Games about the mundane realities of cysts?

Remember, a conference on boobs in video games is okay as a feminist critique, but not as something a bunch of men would go to to have fun.
