A giant database of intercepted Snapchat photos and videos has been released by hackers who have been collecting the files for years. Shocked users of the notorious chat forum 4chan are referring to the hack as "The Snappening," noting that this is far bigger than the iCloud hacks that recently targeted celebrities.

Underground photo-trading chat rooms have been filled in recent weeks with hints that something big was coming. Thursday night it finally arrived: A third-party Snapchat client app has been collecting every single photo and video file sent through it for years, giving hackers access to a 13GB library of Snapchats that users thought had been deleted.

Users of 4chan have downloaded the files and are creating a searchable database that will allow people to search the stolen images by Snapchat username.

All you have to is randomize your MAC address and use "public" wifi. They also have offshore cloud based virtual computers you can rent for $20/month to do all your torrenting and then just SFTP the goods back home.

It's not fake but there isn't a lot of good stuff. Frankly it's a lot of weird shit.
There is a 600 MB torrent on piratebay if you search this thread title on there.
Over 90% is garbage.

You can use a VPN service like "Hide My Ass" to download torrents. It sets up an encrypted connection to servers around the globe. When you add this and enable encryption through the torrent client, the likelihood of your real IP and MAC address being discovered is almost nil. Now, if you're doing illegal things, bad things - sure, some agency could get warrants and try to get the VPN server logs... if the VPN service falls under any jurisdiction, or even keeps connection logs (some have them expire and vanish after a set time).

So don't be an asshole and intentionally download any file that may contain illegal info like credit card numbers or underage nude pictures.

But they're not going to waste the massive time, effort, and supercomputer cycles to crack the encryption of you downloading music, movies or nude photos. They're looking for much bigger fish.
