Ladies' Newest Trend: "Banana Roll" Liposuction

When it comes to problem areas many of us have an uncanny ability to unearth less-than-desirable parts of our bodies that our partners probably never even knew existed.

And now, it seems, one area of the body is becoming an increasing concern for women - 'the banana roll'.

The fruity term is being used to refer to a pocket of fat which can accumulate just underneath the buttocks.

One clinic has seen a three-fold increase in female patients booking in treatments to banish fat from this area, seemingly inspired by the perfectly curved bottoms of celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Nicki Minaj.

Dr Dennis Wolf, cosmetic doctor at The Private Clinic of Harley Street, where such treatments have been on the rise, explains: 'It is very common in women for an area of fat to form in the crease just below the buttocks. The heavier the bottom is, often the bigger the roll will become because of the weight above it.

'Removing that roll is an effective way of creating greater definition between the top of the thighs and the buttocks, however you must be careful not to remove too much, as this can cause the buttocks to droop.'

'Banana roll lipo' is often used in conjunction with fat transfer to the bum cheeks. The procedure means the top of the patient's thighs are reduced and this unwanted fat is then added to their bottom to make it more curvaceous.

The two treatments combined are said to help achieve the perfect posterior. The patient has the dreaded 'banana roll' removed whilst improving the definition of their buttocks for a curvier silhouette.

However, Dr Wolf said the effect is not always permanent.

'Patients also need to be prepared to put in some hard work themselves. By toning up the glutes you can help prevent the bottom from drooping and to keep the area tight,' he said.

Speaking to the MailOnline, British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons spokesman Nilesh Sojitra agreed that women shouldn't rely on liposuction alone to stay slim.

'Liposuction indeed has shown a dramatic rise over the years and certainly more demands for buttock contouring which involves creating curves underneath and also transferring fat to buttocks.

'These procedures are safe if done correctly but patients need to be realistic as to the eventual outcome and remember that photos in magazines are often Photoshopped.

'Weight gain in any liposuction will destroy the results gained,' Nilesh said.

Lesson: Even surgical sorcery still requires you to get off your ass and get it in at the gym.

Isn't it normal to have that roll there? Seems weird to get rid of it. It will probably cause fat distribution problems when they get older.

No matter what kind of surgery you get you always have to maintain your new figure. Old habits die hard, though. When they decide to get fat again they will always blame the surgery or the diet and say it "doesn't work". In reality, the thing that "didn't work" was the ability for them to get off their asses and into the gym.

Lipo isn't a solution; rather, it's a second chance. You have to maintain that new body and often have to radically change your habits and desires to keep that figure.

Looks like an extreme waste of money. Just hop on some lady roids, do squats and have a Jen Selter ass in 5 months.

Chalk this one up to the seemingly unstoppable ass trend.

Women want a fat ass because it's been heavily promoted as desirable by the media. But not just any kind of fat ass; but they want a huge, shapely, cellulite free ass like the kind they see in magazines. Guess what: over the years fat areas of your body tend to look like other fat areas of your body. They become lumpy, full of cellulite, and generally unappealing. The one exception for this might be women's breasts, but girls with large natural tits don't tend to retain their perkiness past their mid 20s. Gravity is truly a spiteful jealous bitch, and asses aren't immune to her wrath either.

So how do Kim K and all the other ass queens get their fat, shapely, cellulite-free asses? It ain't doing squats. Lets be realistic: very few women are going to put the sort of time and discipline in required to get any results in the gym, let alone maintain those results. Ass queens get their magnificent impossible asses from the standard bullshit that comes out of Hollywood: lighting trickery, photoshop, and a good dose of plastic surgery.

Now all those debates about whether chicks have natty tits has shifted into whether or not they have natty asses as well. Given the increasing obesity rates, getting the size is obviously no problem for most girls, but maintaining that size while being lean in the waist is a problem. Out come the synthol injections and silicone implants. Cellulite accumulation has to be taken care of as well, so girls go under the knife. And of course, they want the big ass, but they don't want the big elephant legs, so they get "banana rolls" sucked out as if the body will only accumulate fat on a single region in the leg around the glute and not the entire leg.

I imagine that it's both a feast and a famine for ass guys right now. On one hand, women everywhere are trying to get "dat ass". But on the other hand, there is a huge number of girls who are just fat and are acting like they have a nice ass or frauding a nice ass through yoga pants (the push-up bra for the ass) or cheating the system by getting plastic surgery that looks unnatural in a few years. It's actually harder to find girls that are naturally lean with nice plump asses or spend time at the gym doing squats and taking care of themselves since the market is being flooded with knockoffs.

All this for ass. What an amazing world we live in.

I didn't get what the big-butt craze was all about until I nailed a latina with DDs...on her butt! I did her lazy doggy, meaning she was face down and I was face down laying on top of her. Kinda like missionary but both face down. I never felt such a full, soft pressure pushing back against my balls! They were in heaven and I busted my nut in half the time.

But all this surgery stuff on aging women? I dunno...seems crazy. Guys - if you want your girl to have a big-but-firm and cellulite-free ass, here's "one weird trick" (as they say in every internet ad) to get that:

- Date a thick 19 yr old.

Problem solved.

Very strange. I wouldn't have really even noticed anything being 'off' in the first pic. Neither the before or after ass on the beach would make me do a double take.

On the other hand if a chick has an otherwise fine ass I don't think I'd notice either.

Those are normal. Seems frivolous to remove them. And you only see them in a bikini. I guess this will be a common surgery now.
