I am quite disappointed in Jon Hamm to be honest. The
lib-tards wet their panties when a masculine icon is tricked into believing their bullshit. They even had Daniel Craig in one of their recent campaigns [I think it was sexual assault].

Jon Hamm isn't a masculine icon. He just plays one on TV.

That's what I meant. He plays one though and that character is seen by the crowd as a masculine icon. Therefore whatever Jon Hamm promotes, becomes the "real man" thing to do. Same with Daniel Craig and James Bond.

Anyone sold as a masculine icon in this era will be purely about creating aspirational fantasy seemingly-achievable through consumption, because true masculinity is threatening and 'problematic'. Don Draper: buy the suits! Buy the hats! Drink! Be a world man interested in the finer things! A ready-made alpha persona for men to adopt, and - un-coincidentally - the mainstream style media will helpfully-guide you toward the products that will help you achieve that 'style'.

This was all that was happening in the sixties, with Bond being sold as the ideal. My Dad's 60's era playboys were all full of alcohol ads, the same style of suits and stereo systems.

Girls have sparkly vampires, this is what we're sold.

All you need is resilient, dominant masculinity to trigger her Electra Complex, obvious physical-fitness and game.

I suspect it's due to Hillary 2016 but what then. Hillary takes office and we're all fucked. Feminism will be rampant and the norm. Seriously need to start thinking about moving out of the country. This is bullshit

Just wait until Obamacare kicks in...

Increased medicare taxes. So everyone's income taxes will go up.
Increased taxes on providers. So everyone's healthcare will go up even more.

And what do we get in return?

We men get to pay for single moms to have an easier life while we have worse lives. And we get to pay for women to get "free" birth control.

The Democratic party is the enemy of men.

It has kicked in. People who either a) used the 'health care exchange' or b) did not have health insurance in 2014 are going to be raging when they do their taxes in april 2015. Also, if you are in either category and do your own taxes they level of complexity probably for filing is now about 50% higher.

True, it is here to stay. Just we have not felt the full pain from it yet. We have started to feel the pain as companies are working their salaried employees 60 hours a week, cutting the rest and not hiring. While other hourly employees hours are being cut below 30.

Basically Obamacare was a great way to destroy the middle class.

I just wanted to follow up that Hillary doesn't even have to win to have feminism kick into high gear. It is here, and unless we get conservatives and libertarians running the country, it will get worse and worse.

One option for any veterans is signing up with the Veterans Administration, as that counts as a plan under the Obamacare mandate. Not that VA health care is terrific or something you should be forced to get, but at least you don't have to directly submit to the condescending prick in chief directly. Yet.

I'm so sick of this crap. I twattered out "#ItsOnUs to protect women from personal responsibility or basic investment in their own safety." Some feminist actually favorited it.

How brave for Obama and company to speak up against sexual assault since obviously there's a HUGE amount of people who are for rape. What's next, are they going to take the courageous stand of speaking how you shouldn't murder people, sell them heroin, infect them with AIDS or how you should not jaywalk?

Why is Obama lending his time to an anti-sexual assault PSA, instead of a much larger issue, like say, an anti-violence PSA?
The amount of murder and assault that happens in this country makes the amount of rape and sexual assualt that happens in this country look like utter peanuts. And yet, where is outcry for change in that area?

Oh right, I forgot, primarily men are victims of violent crimes, therefore, whogivesashit.

Surprising amount of backlash among the top voted comments.
Are people finally getting tired of the same old victim complex circlejerking?

I'd like a "hillary conspiracy" thread, related to all of this subtle and not so subtle promotion running up to the election. Such as that show called "madam secretary" which is clearly trying to create some sort of myth/fantasy of "oh thats what hillary must've been like" as secretary of state.

This is very co-ordinated. I have trouble believing one woman could acquire that much power, but she has certainly had access for some time. It makes me wonder though what other interests are propping her up. She has to be offering some people behind the scenes their share of gold in return for her victory. Or something more valuable than gold.

I already left and don't think I can come back if (more like when) she wins. There's a whole thread on this topic (i.e. Hillary in 2016 and is it inevitable) and a lot of truths in there.

I'm wondering, for guys in the US what is the general word re this stupid campaign? Do guys generally understand that this just demonizes men and really serves no purpose other than a cheap political one? Has anyone come out against it like George Will did on the campus rape issue? (he of course got summarily hanged for that)

I realize that people are pretty apolitical in general in the US and/or just don't care, but with what's going on with the NFL & Ray Rice issue (which is insane) + this it's just too much even for the average Joe.

It does one other thing. It dumps the responsibility for abusive men on other men, while totally absolving women of any responsibility of all ("It's important not the blame the victim").

They're essentially calling on men to be full-time White Knights. I think this is a dangerous message to send because there's no easier way to get your ass kicked by both parties than to insert yourself into a domestic violence situation.

The police are paid to deal with this shit. Let them put themselves in danger. And hold women responsible. The reason "victim blaming" is a phrase is because victims are often to blame. People do stupid shit and think they're immune from consequences.

Anyway, I think all of that is why this video is getting so many negative votes. It's one thing to say "hitting women is bad!" but absolving them of all responsibility while dumping it on men struck a wrong chord.

Us red pill types know the true nature of women. So many of these bitches actively choose abusive partners because they get their rocks off on the danger and drama. They are disgusted by men of honor.

Now they want the women who choose the psychos to be absolved of all responsibility, and for the honorable men they reject to step into their danger and put their safety on the line to pull them out of a jam? So she can go back to the abusive thug as soon as the dust settles, and the honorable man go back to being an incel?

Take care of those titties for me.

Questlove said in his bit "its on us to NEVER" blame the victim...so yes. The woman can steal your money, run a train in your office on your desk, throw your kids down 5 flights of stairs but if you touch her, she'd the victim and is blameless.

Here's my $.02.

What Ray Rice did in that video is absolutely deplorable. Even if we know women like rough stuff, you don't do something at that level maybe ever, and certainly not in public. I would not do it. However, this view can only be held by a complete 'anti-feminist'. It is unfair for any feminist or even feminist leaning person to believe this. They should be absolutely fine with this.

See, Jay Z gets shamed by some for letting a girl 'beat him up', but really what he did is show restraint and TREATED HER AS A CHILD. He held back because this is what men must do. Ray Rice on the other hand treated the girl as his equal. So in fact it is Jay Z who is the misogynist, while Ray Rice is the feminist. This paradox melts the feminist's minds. Obviously they can not turn on Jay Z unless their Queen Bey turns on him, and she did not. It is fine for them however to turn on Ray Rice's now wife. Only a non-feminist can call [correctly I would add] for Ray Rice to be more severely penalized.

In the end none of us here should defend Ray Rice's actions in the bigger scheme of things, because even though they are fine in today's toxic environment, they are not correct in the society we strive for, the society of days past. Don't tell me you have to dominate your woman, because in public, you can do that without knocking her out. The best parents don't need to hit their children.

Even more amusing is that a lot of these feminists and manginas chant over and over again that women are strong, they can take care of themselves and don't no need no man...but at the same time they are calling for Obama (the head alpha male) to mobilize a nation sized army of male white knights to act as a 24/7 security force/volunteer neighborhood watch for women everywhere.

Women are supposedly self-responsible, mature beings that can handle their own business but at the same times they are also perpetual victims? Where is the call for women to "women up" and to start taking responsibility? A man that constantly puts himself into dangerous situations and then gets burned is called reckless and perhaps also an idiot but a woman is a victim.

Lastly, women are not called upon to take responsibility for issues that mostly effect men but yet men are being called to take responsibility for issues that mostly effect women?
