About to fly up to Niseko today for 7 day snowboarding trip before returning to Tokyo for a week. So I will report back here on my findings on both the snow and the chicks.

I'm planning a trip there this winter... any info would be greatly appreciated.

Last year I did 3 weeks in Niseko. I met 1 japenese guy on the ski lift.... The rest were all Aussies.

Also there are no women about. Think about it... You have to book your own flights, sort out getting there once you land in Tokyo, organise all your gear, get a hotel, sort out lift passes etc etc.
Most women cant even organise a taxi to the airport themselves.
So all the girls there will be there with their boyfriends who did all this shit for them.

Nightlife isn't all that great. But the skiing is the best I have ever experienced.

Pretty much true with skiing/snowboarding anywhere, and I've skied since I was like 11 - total sausage-fest.

Hate to say it, but unless you're near a "normal" city (one that doesn't exist just for skiing/snowboarding), it's gonna be a sausage-fest. It's only when you escape to said "normal" city that it's more likely to even be business as usual.

The only other way I could seeing skiing/snowboarding work for getting girls is if you were good enough to give them impromptu private lessons, AND they happen to be there without guys (highly unlikely). "Hey, I see you're having trouble there, want a lesson?" Of course, this will eat into your prime powder time.

Agreed. Every ski resort I have ever been to (and I've been to a lot) has always been a sausage fest. For the very reasons Spalex laid out above. Anyway, you don't go snowboarding to get laid, you go to snowboard. I'm sure you can pack in the skirt chasing for just one week to go ride some quality powder and chill out for a few drinks in the evening with your mates
