Dude had the opportunity to rectify it, instead he's letting that shit ride. Knowing that you're going to take it.

While I'd still like to know if the boss is also the owner of the company, I'd have to agree with the above. Assuming that this is not an industry where a few years of experience cause this sharp of a difference*, then the company decided to offer a sub-par package, and now they slipped up and it's out in the open.

If it's the type of organization where the company is just going to hide behind "you agreed" or something like that, then the organization is going to treat you the same way on every other issue.

* If it is the norm in the industry, it's a different situation.

If there are networking/industry events, go.

Start showing your boss that you have thought about switching and are not going to take a subpar salary.

It will make him ask you what you're up to or if everything is okay.

Thank you for all your help guys. I've decided I will tell the boss that I will want a salary increase on my 6 month evaluatation. Btw, I work as a developer on an international company and my boss is only the regional director, so he doesn't own the company. So being a developer, I think I'll focus more on shipping my own products on my free time as well as fulfilling the requirements of my projects at work. I think I'll get more leverage and confidence to ask a higher asking price if I can produce quality programs that I own. This way, I can still look for other jobs because through my portfolio, and then I won't be so desparate to get an increase. Anyway, Ill keep you guys updated. I appreciate all the advice!
