Cracked has switched completely into social justice warfare

Cracked.com already was developing a progressive odor, but this last one I read really goes full tilt pushing the campus rape mythology.

I love how the author refers to this as a "comedy article about rape", while the article itself fails to even attempt to make any jokes beyond the occasional use of sarcasm quotes.

cracked has been trending this way now for awhile. it pops up on the Tumblrinaction subreddit. the editor david wong is a total sjw, also often mocked on said subreddit.

I've noticed this too. It's pathetic.

I've stopped following Cracked years ago. Any interesting technology or history-themed articles are not worth it when they're surrounded by so much rancid feminism. I don't want to support them with my clicks or attention.

The most popular comments are telling. Basically, the definition of rape has been altered beyond belief.4 out of 6 women in a group claiming they've been raped is ridiculous....especially when you consider the attractiveness of the type of women who comment on that site.

I don't know what happen to this bunch. They had a pretty funny podcast, to which I have since quit listening. They kept luring me in with interesting discussions, but I noticed their examples always re-enforced whatever The Cathedral approved. For instance, the "Tipping Point" discussion where they pointed out that social trends are usually the result of deliberate activity, yet failed to make the same connection with the current millennial approval for gay marriage.

It's more extreme than you may think:

I'm kind of curious if this is just the social justice warriors in charge running the website into the ground to promote their crusade or a valid business move. Marketing themselves as a comedy site when the content is just sanctimonious progressive propaganda with no comedy whatsover seems like they're just going to steadily lose visitors over time. But on the other hand there's a huge demand for websites with a content focus on the (feminist, fat acceptance, MRA, whiny ethnic group, etc, etc...) victim fetish of modern society, so maybe it's a calculated business move.

What happened was they got bought out by Demand Media in 2007 and became part of the mainstream corporate media world. They no longer compete with Mad, in other words, but with Vice and Salon.

They also got an editor named Jason Pargin, who for some reason writes under the pen name David Wong. Never underestimate the power of a new editor, esp. one bent on being The Political Corrector. They breed these types like rabbits in journalism school.

I once worked for a fantastic old school editor who got replaced by a journalism school master's degree SJW type who was a lesbian. From the start, she froze out the regulars and brought in her own crew. Within a year, all of us were gone, replaced by her programmed robots. The paper went from a cool, artsy weekend section to a boring, didactic, cliched rag. It was all because she felt the need to insert her ideology into everything from sports coverage to what bands we wrote about. Maybe this is what happened at Cracked.com?

Unfortunately there are people like that who comes in and wants to run things in their own image. It doesn't matter how good of a job the old boss was doing they want to make their legacy the next best thing. In the butch's case, she sucked the life out of something that, in your words, cool and artsy. Perhaps it was a good thing that you still weren't under her thumb?

Unfortunately, I feel that Cracked is just the beginning.

Speaking of which the exact same shit happened with Vice itself. The founder Gavin McInnes quit because (in his words) the site had become "Stalinist." It used to be fairly red-pill before that. McInnes writes for Takimag now.

Part of the continuing story of the feminizing of print and electronic media that has been underway now for some time. One wonders whether our efforts to document these things have less to do with reversing the trend, than in simply recording for posterity our society's slide into genderless oblivion.

What interests me is just how supinely men have accepted their relegation to irrelevance. We now actually assist our own persecutors by putting our scrotums on the block, or our own heads in the guillotine.

I've noticed this as well. It really makes me wonder how much malnutrition and hormonal imbalances are affecting peoples' brains. This guy looks like he has a number of vitamin deficiencies as well as low testosterone. He just looks extremely unhealthy all around. I don't have a link at the moment, but there was a study done proving that stronger and more healthy people tend to hold more traditional/conservative views. Alternatively, weak and sickly people naturally look more toward the government to take care of them.

Is it possible that the population has been intentionally rendered weak and sick physically (through poor diets/nutrition and big pharma poisons) in order to make them more mentally susceptible to progressive brainwashing?

One does have to appreciate the irony of a white guy who accuses other people of racism, yet writes under the pseudonym "Wong".

This doesn't surprise me at all. Anyone who grew up playing video games, reading comic books, or watching cheesy movies would be shocked to see how far the culture has shifted. Growing up stuff like PC Gamer, Wizard Magazine (yes, I was that dorky), and all the other publications I read were filled with jokes that would now be considered sexist or racist. Jokes about female characters with huge boobs, celebrations of male heroes being horn dogs (I think I have an old copy of Wizard where they traced out ever character Wolverine had slept with), and the glorification of guns.

These magazines were straight up fun. They had jokes about game design being "retarded" (try printing that word today) and they made gay jokes. It was a place where nerdy teenage boys could sit around and chuckle at the witty insights of nerdy middle aged men.

Now those same magazines and websites have turned into politically correct nonsense. They are stuffed with lame progressive fluff that insults the readers. Reading lines like "Superman and Batman have to travel back in time to mansplain their actions" is like getting slapped in the face.

I feel bad for the kids of today. They don't have a real outlet where they can just read laugh at some silly gay jokes or look at a pair of breast without being ironic. When I was a kid I loved getting my gaming magazines and comic books because it was like having my own little world where I could enjoy all the stuff that I wasn't supposed to. Had I been younger when Cracked was big I'm sure I would have eaten that stuff up too. Some of their older articles, I've only seen a few so I'm no expert, are pretty enjoyable. It is a true shame that the site went downhill so fast.

David Wong seriously isn't Chinese?
I am just finding this out now. I always pictured him as this skinny Asian dude in glasses.

What a racist.

There does seem to be a link between physical weakness/mental illness and extreme ideology.

The Russian Revolution is a good example. Take a look a look at the top 2 leaders of the Bolshevik movement: Lenin and Trotsky. You can clearly tell from their wild expressions/stares that these were highly unbalanced individuals. Something just doesnt sit right with them.

Stalin famously referred to revolutionaries as "wild dogs". He knew them well, considering he was one of them (he was also physically weak and had a defective right hand).

These posts here make a good point, and one that I tried to emphasize recently in this post on another related thread:

http://www.rooshvforum.network/thread-38229-...#pid783508

Our moral and spiritual degeneration is proceeding along with, or is caused by, a concurrent biological degeneration. I really have come to believe this. With all the estrogen in the water, chemicals in the food, poisons in the environment, and destruction of the ozone layer, we are literally bathed in toxicity day in and day out.

Humans as a species seem to be differentiating into two strata: on top are the healthy, biologically secure organisms, with better access to food, health care, and environments by virtue of their wealth and privilege. And on the bottom we have the grotesque dregs, the wretched souls we encounter hobbling about in megastores, shopping malls, and sports stadiums of the American landscape. Even having them enter your field of vision is enough to disquiet you. And it's only going to get worse.

Our decline has a biological element, along with all the other economic, social, and moral factors noted in my link here.

H.G. Wells's The Time Machine may not have been too inaccurate a vision of the future, after all.

I used to love Cracked for its creativity and articles like "the 5 most badass presidents of all time" which injected a swift kick of laughter, inspiration, creativity and masculinity in my day.

Now?..
A bunch of nerd hipsters and gay weirdos trying to lead me into their pan sexual leftist views with the sense of humor Tina Fey would spew.

Cracked.com is dead to me now.

Life is good
