I have discovered hangover curing properties of Zipfizz several years ago. As I had a need to use it this weekend, it reminded me to share the secret with the general populace.
"Zipfizz is a healthy and great tasting energy drink-mix powder that delivers a powerful charge of micronutrients to the body's fuel system."
They emphasize taste because when they first came out it tasted horrible. It's been improved a lot as of late.
Energy boost is similar to the Red Bull or Monster, though will depend on your tolerance level.
It is also a lot cheaper than either one. Each tube is just over a dollar, as opposed to $4 that Red Bull costs.
Back in my previous life as an office rat, one of my friends there would be hungover at least every other weekend. At the same time I had just discovered Zipfizz, and thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. I gave one to him, and a few minutes later he informed me of its beneficent effects. Subsequently, he would poach them from me on almost regular basis.
It works because it uses rather large amounts of vitamin B, particularly B12.
Curiously, Belgian Ales that use secondary fermentation in the bottle have yeast that is rich in B12, and also do not produce hangovers.
I don't get stupid drunk anymore, so my hangovers are not terrible. This last weekend, I did get a headache which Zipfizz removed within minutes.
I found it at Costco, and they still sell it, but so does Amazon nowadays.
A tip--don't pour it into full bottle of water, as it will go over the top. Drink a couple of ounces first.
Happy drinking!
