Memorial Day tribute: Butch O’Hare and his namesake airport

I ran across this short article on NPR about Butch O’Hare, a WWII pilot and Medal of Honor winner, that I wanted to share during this Memorial Day weekend. I recently read a book on WWII’s Pacific Theater and it seemed that being a pilot was one of the most dangerous jobs around. You basically flew missions until you were shot down.

I swear I read "Bitch O'Hare" at first...I was very confused until I took a double and third take.
