I have up to a month to travel beginning mid Feb. Have been to Brazil a number of times before but the posts on Colombia have me curious enough to check it out.

Unless you are into the P4P scene, or surfing, or Ecotourism, I would skip CR.

Also get in touch with forum member "CLR" I believe he live sin Costa Rica, or is there for some time.

MIXX is spot on with this observation...I brought "sand to the beach" to Costa Rica and didnt regret it one bit. I think It's definitely a spot you bring your girl for some adventure moreseo than going to slay top notch chicks. Didnt see that much talent (Colombia is KILLING CR In this Dept.) there overall during the week I stayed there and I went out in San Jose a few nights to some good clubs. The Aruban/Trini chick I brought with me from Miami was killing them all so no complaints there.

Another thing I noticed about CR is that it was a BOAT LOAD of gringos on the plane whereas the flight down to all of the Colombian Cities I've visited over the years (Cali, Medellin, Bogota, Cartagena) you can usually count on one hand the amount of gringos so that's a plus when your talking about Colombia already and your going to get much better value as it's still overall less explored than CR which is gringoland these days.

Colombia is definitely the place to be and I wish I could get out there while your there bro but I have Dubai in the middle of the month and bi-weekly trips to Brasil :/ in February to handle.
