When I landed and was in the taxi I was thinking "oh shit this place looks grungy as fuck," but the closer I got to Miraflores, the nicer it became. Soon as I got to the hostel we checked in and grabbed a bottle of Pisco at the store across the street. Across the hall there were these guys from LA who spoke fluent Spanish - huge bonus because me and my bro don speak any. They ended up having cousins who live here and they showed us the local hot spots for Wednesday night. A club calle The Spa and I forget the other. Both were bumpin. Spa had 15 soles cover or guys and was free for girls, but we were on the guest list. First night I ended up just gettin really wasted so no attempt on picking up girls, just dancing.
Second night in Lima we again got another bottle of Pisco and a 12 pack. We go to a place called Help, which was like a big warehouse with a live band. Lots of younger girls aroud 18-22 - couldn't be any more perfect for me since I'm 20. Alot of Peruvian guys are giving me dirty looks and are very protective of the girls they are hanging out with, so I found it much easier to approach a group of girls than a mixed group. It was hit and miss, due to my lack of Spanish, but I ended up finding a group of 5-6 girls who were very receptive. So I grabbed my buddy from LA and he translated some shit for me. Then we got 3 of the girls to come with us to Pizza street in Miraflores - very touristy but thhe locals said it was good. Ended the night there with phone numbers and a kiss goodbye from the one girl I was after.
Next night th guys from LA have 3 cousins come out and thn we get 2 Austrian girls from the hostel to come out as well - one which has an amazing ass and cute face. We then phone the girls we met last night and they are extatic we aske them to join us. We went to a small local joint right across Kennedy Park from Pizza street. I think it was called Drama. It was okay, just with all of us we dominated the dance floor. It was 10 soles for a double shot of tequila so not bad. The one Peruvian girl from the night before is all over me. She's cute, but the Austrian is better looking. So I bust the Austrians chops all night and at one point we end up dancing really hard. We're dancing away and then the Peruvian girl comes back and gets pissed at me, for who knows what. All I heard was "puta madre." Enough for me to smile, wave and say "ciao." We then roll to Pizza street to a club that was really busy. At this point I'm sure I got the Austrian in the bag, she's resting her head on me, trying to hold my hand etc. But I just push her away and tell her to stop acting like my girlfiend, I just got out of a relationship, don't need another - all in a joking manor mind you. Get to the club and low and behold, guess who's there? Of course, the local from before. I'm thinking "fuck here we go again." But to my surprise she comes over and starts talking to me. I don't know anything she's saying so I get my translator. He says she's apologizing to me for being rude earlier. Cool haha. End up switching between her and the Austrian all night, until were outside about to leave. The Peruvian wants me to go to her house, but I say no and go back to the hostel with everyone, trying to get the Austrian. Low and behold, good choice. Get the notch, so I'm a happy camper. Wake up hungover as fuck, but who cares off to Mancorra.
Last 2 nights in Mancorra were pretty awesome for girls. Went to a bar really close to our hostel and literally within 5 minutes meet up with my 2 buddies from back home. I'm pumped. And what do you know? They are sitting with 4 older, but good looking locals. So we end up just sitting at this bar a night because these girls wanted to practice their English with us. We end up all getting some besides one bud who ouldnt find a condom. Last night we ended up hanging with the same girls cause they were dtf. So far been a sick stay in Peru. Cuzco is next, and all I hear is goo things.
I felt that eye contact was the best way to get a girls attention. But it can't be creepy staring like the locals do. I just made eye contact smirked and walked up to them which was normally followed by an, "oh shit he's actually coming over here" look, followed by a shy stare at the floor - which could be seen as a bad sign, but they're either testing you or actually are shy. Or, I got a smile back. But my Spanish is shit so normally that's what's holding me back. The way you dress, didn't really matter unless you go to a place like La Spa or Drama where I reccommend a dress shirt and decent jeans. Pizza street you can where whatever you want. Mancorra, sandals shorts and a tee. Beach gear. Also getting hooked with locals who know what's up is the only way to go.
Besides party places I reccomend La Playa Silencio. Packed beach full of restaurants which bring you beach chairs and a beer for 6 soles. they also have volleyball nets which you can use if you buy one drink. This beach is about 45 minutes south of Lima and should cost you 45 soles, which is still expensive but we were tourists so they up the price even if you speak Spanish. El centro in Lima is also worth the 10 soles cab from Miraflores. Shopping everywhere, cool Plazas and cathedrals. Catacombs were very interesting. Watch out for people trying to sell you drugs. First thing they will ask you is where you're from. Ignore them. No much to say about Mancorra because all we've done is sleep moat of the day and go to the beach with those girls.
Six days in and already having an amazing time. I will try and keep updated on my reccommendations and future lays for Peru, Argentina and Brazil. Let's keep the wheels turning boys.
