My commuter to work is a cruiser, and I found out that dressing up and ride is a good way to destroy a suit. Luckily Big Corp allows a more relaxed dress code, and I found a style more practical for commuting: jeans, boots, polo shirt or dress shirt and a brown leather jacket. Later I found out this is a style favored by Daniel Craig, which I was totally ok with (down to the rolled up jeans).

But lately I want to up my game a notch. Any ideas on a good wardrobe for work that can endure a commute by motorcycle? I don't have, by the way, a gym near work nor a place there to keep the suit or the jacket. I'm just a cog there, so the most storage I get is an empty drawer that can't get a jacket without wrinkling it (I tried).

As I motorcycle commuter for well over five years, I feel your pain. I ride with full kit - armored everything except for trousers. I've had several contract gigs over the years where jeans were not allowed. So, I kept my business clothes (except the shirt) at the office and changed when I got to work. However, the jacket part I didn't have to deal with. Perhaps you might do a search for "how to fold/roll and business jacket with wrinkling it."

Nice, thanks. Maybe I could leave a more formal pants in my drawer and figure what to do with the jacket. Any opinions on dress boots?

Can you stick a screwhook in under your desk and use that to hang your jacket? Best to tip the cleaner not to accidentally suck the sleeve up the hoover also.

Leave your jacket at work.

Wear kevlar jeans over your work slacks while riding, and take them off when you get to work.

Problem solved.

I think the biggest problem I encountered is smelling like outside. I know it sounds odd but being in the wind for 30 minutes creates a funk.

Fortunately my dresscode at work is pretty lax and I have a short ride to work so I normally just wear some khalkis a button up and my leather jacket and a pair of boots. Id be scared of ruining all my suites if I had to ride to work. I used to love to ride to work but sitting in morning rush hour its not even fun to ride to work sitting in traffic goign clutch break clutch break for a half hour, plus I can't enjoy my morning coffee and a smoke on my way to work. I do ride to work occasionally and enjoy some fun and freedom before going into the office but these days I drive to work more and go for rides after work.

Why don't you just filter, is it illegal where you are?

I took my bike into London the other day. Played it safe until the third kid on a scooter overtook me as I was filtering and cut across three lanes of traffic. What the hell I thought, when in Rome....It was a hell of a rush, but I reckon I'd be dead if I tried it every day.

Motorbike beats a car any day, any weather for me.

roberto the screwhook is a great idea, I think I can manage to set up one under the desk. I can't leave at the chair, like nmmooreland20 suggested, because that became the code to "sup, I'm here at full gas" and the phone would start ringing.

For now I have the formal pants at work and my leather jacket. The smell of exhaust doesnt bother people too much, since many are smokers.
