Any of you guys roll on the lower east side (delancey, ludlow, 13th step etc…). This part of town always seems to have girls rolling in large groups. They both come in, in those groups and leave at the end of the night together.

For some reason when I first heard about the game 8 years ago I thought bars were all about people meeting to hook up. It seems like it is much rarer than the impression you get from people who talk about the night life and hook up culture. For reference I've been consistently going out and approaching only the most recent two years. Before that I had massive approach paralysis.

Anyway back to the topic at hand… any of you guys rolling in these areas and having success? It seems like girls have large embedded social circles and they don't venture outside of them unless you are extremely alpha/game looking. Basically unless you are the type of guy who wouldn't need cold approach night game because you already are a rock star in your giant social circle it seems like these women won't go for you.

This isn't a troll post. I'm genuinely stuck and not sure where to go.

I've had plenty of success meeting girls in the Lower East side. In fact, it's probably my favorite area in the city to go out.

You don't need to be a 'rock star' or part of a large social circle to have success there. I've consistently rolled solo and with with buddies in the LES…pulling isn't any harder here than in say, the Meat Packing District, or other bar-dense areas scattered around the city.

I think it's easier. Not as heavy of a Bridge and Tunnel crowd as you might find in midtown or on the upper east side, and less uptight euro girls that frequent the MPD. Usually when I go out I meet plenty of cute girls from around Manhattan, and chicks from Brooklyn too. You'll get other diversity too.

With regards to girls rolling in big packs, I can't say I agree with you on that. Sure, most girls will come with their friends, but that's true of every neighborhood in New York. You're unlikely going to see hot girls rolling solo, or even with just 1 friend. Girls roll in groups because they like going out and drinking with their friends, and they also like getting hit on by confident men. Don't let a girl being in a group deter you from chatting her up.

..Bottom line is LES is a great place for new guys (and vets) to work on and improve their game. The places are general easier to get in, and because there is such a high density of bars in the area, you can literally just walk around Ludlow and Delancey st and drop by wherever you think looks good.

Spider, thanks for your reply. I have always found the uptight Euro girls a strange artifact of the MPD considering Europeans have an otherwise more open reputation than Americans.

This is true, but confident feels like a bit of an understatement. If you're brash and are able to approach, most girls will be amused (a few bitchy ones will player hate) but they won't truly view you as a prospect, more just entertainment as part of girls night out (oh my gosh, a guy hit on me - I must be hot!). Group sets are also extremely difficult to run when rolling solo because you will a) have to make up an excuse about where your friends are and b) will have to entertain the group for at least a couple of minutes if they are neutral/hostile (the friendly groups that continue chatting amongst themselves are obviously best).

Most people in general like going out and drinking with their friends. It's only PUA that changes you for better or worse that fills you with doubt as to whether that is a worthwhile activity and whether the time would better be spent working on your game either by yourself or other PUAs.

This is both good and bad. On the one hand you get a ratio hit, but on the flip side… it's easier to get in, save for Hotel Chantelle which has one of the most dick-headed door policies ever given the level of the venue.. Whereas many times in meatpacking you simply won't get in at all.

The other downside to the small venues is you can't use RSD Tyler's 6 steps to warm-up because you don't have high density/volume to mass approach 10-20 sets for warm up purposes in a short period of time (loud meatpacking venues where you can't talk are not so great for this either though paradoxically). The only place I've found with a balance of loudness/density/volume is 13th step, but as I'm only there infrequently on weekends it always feels like B&T crowd of boyfriends and girlfriends out for the weekend in Manhattan.

What do you think are the best hours to go out in LES? I'm usually 11PM-4AM, but I think 8PM-12AM might be better because girls are out drinking socially and wrapping up dinner with their girlfriends.

13th step is legendary for hooking up. I'm far from a pro but I've banged 2 girls from there so far in 2014 and probably could have had another couple more but I just forgot to text them.

Tuesdays is dollar beer night there. Can be hit or miss (lotta dudes just go there for post work drinks, fucks up the ratio sometimes), but when it's good it's the best bar I've found for a dude in his early 20s. For reference I've going out consistently in NY for about a year now.

Btw I noticed you said its weak on the weekends, and I agree. I really only like going there during the week. Saturdays is all groups of "friends" and it's way too fucking packed to get comfortable. Fridays there are ok but I never usually stay for long, I go to the Jamaican bar next door (which is awesome on Fridays).

One of each. The SNL was on Valentine's day and the one I texted was from out of town and with friends the night we met. She blew em off and came out to fuck me a couple days later.

Nice. I usually frequent there weekdays around 8-9. That's probably before things get good so I haven't really seen 13th step true potential
