Greetings,
I was interested in power and olympic lifting and was wanting to know how to build up my core for that area of lifting. I was thinking of doing a bodyweight strength system for half a year like Ross Enamits "Never Gymless" to be safe. I would love to lift maximal loads but when Iv'e dabbled in it previously I just feel this unnecessary pull on my lower abs, and am thinking whoa man time to get better abs before I do get deep into this. I knew a Pro Football Player who's never been injured in the weight room squatting 750, benching 500, etc, he was like go slow and steady man-don't rush injuries.
Thoughts?
