Moreover, from an STD standpoint alone it's probably much riskier for women to be promiscuous than it is for men since women are by and large all fucking the same 10-20% of alpha males who are likely to have had a large number of partners themselves. The reverse is unlikely to hold true since the vast majority of young women are able to get laid at will--the male equivalent of the average hypergamous girl's sexual practices would be if you exclusively banged prostitutes and extreme sluts.

It's riskier because the vagina is one large mucous membrane, while the penis is normal skin. Transmission is vastly easier through a mucous membrane.

That too--although the data aren't particularly clear, for vaginal sex the overall male-to-female transmission rate for most STDs seems to be about twice the female-to-male rate: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexually_tr...ansmission

So, the gynecologist is another woman and she was alarmed at the # of dicks this dog takes, referring to her behavior as risky. If the "sisterhood" is shaming...wow.

Assuming this story is true, then "Jasmine" should just go the porn/escort (she already has the name) route and get paid to be a cumdumpster.

The amount of dicks it takes to alarm woman A about woman B's sexual habits can be expressed by the formula N+1, where N is the number of dicks woman A has taken.

This girl is not capable of feeling shame.

She put her face on a video, talked about getting an STD, and said her doctor was shocked at the number of sexual partners she has had.

Who would allow a video on the internet saying such things if you felt shame? Her mother and father and brother and grandparents and friends and classmates, professors and so on could see that video.

She is shameless.

Trust me, they have shame, they just can't resist to rationalize it away in front of people and feel better about it. I've been with girls like that, they will get drunk and bang you in a bathroom, get support from her slut friendly pals but cry themselves to sleep and send you a message begging you not to tell her beta boyfriend who is attending same lectures as you.

Gynecologists must be very used to patients with high cock counts in this day and age, so for one to "shame" this chick, she must have some impressive score and quite a gutter down there.

The longer I'm alive, the more "educated woman" sounds like an oxymoron.

She keeps grinning like she's proud. I wonder what her number is, must be at least 50.

I have to say I find her pretty attractive though. Would definitely bang.

Where do they all get the jargon, like 'slut shamed', from? Are they all reading jezzebel and so on, or is that kind of terminology common in the mainstream media in US?

I don't pay attention to mainstream media much, but I think all those made up feminist terms are still exclusive to jezzebel et al. They're in common use among women in academia, such as this chick, but much less so with the general population.

I'm curious how many partners the doctor thought was "a lot."

Numbers people.

I'd go with over 80.

how old is she?

See, the number is very age dependent. A girl who is 18 and has been with 10 guys, would call it "a lot." And for her age, yes it is. But a 40 year old woman who's been with 10? that's five per sexually active decade.

So at 21... eighty would be a lot, but it could easily have been 30-40.

They get racked up pretty quickly if a girl is hot, in her twenties, and down. Ride that carousel girl, ride.

One half of what doctors are supposed to do is shaming people into being healthier.

It even works. Case in point is myself.

Went from 250 lbs to my current 185 lbs because a doctor "shamed" me into doing so (really all he did was tell me the truth, i.e. my health problems at the time were because I was fat and that I didn't need to be fat).

Slut/fat/whatever shaming = someone is making me feel bad about the consequences of something I've done just be merely pointing out said consequences

When you go to a doctor regrading an STI, they are going to ask personal questions and make suggestions regarding your sex life. They are all statistical questions and suggestions so they sound cold, but they are in no way shaming.

For instance, they would ask me (a male) if my partner(s) was on birth control. If I were to say no, then they would either let me know that I am more likely to get a girl pregnant, or that I should consider discussing birth control with my partner(s). If you have had multiple partners in the past year they will automatically let you know that you are participating in risky behavior regarding your sexual health.

Maybe this girl was looking for her doctor to be more bright and vivid, but most people that see the same mistake made patient after patient aren't very charming in the work place.
