Men in Black (1997) and fat shaming

I wanted to point out this scene from Men in Black (1997), a good example of fat shaming in popular culture that, I think, would no longer be acceptable, 17 years later.

(relevant section from 0:29 to 0:52)

Basically Will Smith tells a morbidly obese co-worker to fuck off and use the Stairmaster. Watching this blew my mind - I can't imagine Hollywood greenlighting something like this in 2014. The U.S. obesity rates began accelerating rapidly in the early 1990s - this film was released about five years later. Perhaps a more enlightened screenwriter saw what was happening and chose to fight back in his own small way.

Are there any other fat shaming examples that would no longer be acceptable today?

I can't remember recent movies right now but there is that TV show called Bones where thin attractive Dr Brennan tells the harsh truth to fatties sometimes :

Brennan[about a bunch of dancing overweight women]: They seem quite happy. Obviously they haven’t seen their blood-sugar levels.

[Door Opens] - [Whispers] What's that smell?
- It's mold.
-It grows in the fat creases of morbidly obese people.

What is this about? Did you bring me here to make fun of me?
- I merely stated a fact, Mrs.Epps.
You need to lose weight.
Obesity also causes diabetes, heart damage, liver failure.
Not to mention the wear it puts on your joints.

I have a glandular condition.
A little compassion and understanding, that's what I really need.

You can probably do what Will Smith did because it was done against a man.

Regardless, the anti-fatty movie of all time is....."The Silence of the Lambs".

I was watching the movie with my mother a few days ago, and she brought it to my attention. All the fatties get skinned alive. Clarice survives cause she's skinny.
