Our government is is now a fully -owned subsidiary of Big Bizness, essentially it's PR and enforcement branches.

It uses divide and conquer--fucking brilliantly I must add--to pit "left" against "right", "conservative" against "liberal", and meanwhile behind it all is your landlord, faceless, accumulating-laughing.

(I mean landlord figuratively, i mean more generally the rentier class, who are at the point of squeezing the peons harder and harder.)

Are you a lawyer? I'm not, but this sounds like a totally subjective interpretation of unnamed decisions that I'm guessing a lot of Supreme Court justices would disagree with, or they wouldn't have ruled in a way you disagree with.

The constitution was quite well written I think, they were geniuses that looked at all of history, the abuse of power to search, torture, religious wars-- it is widely imitated, and keeps us all arguing peacefully for the most part.

You gun nuts get all the guns you want, us pinkos get freedom of expression for GLBT oddballs, I mean I think we're having a pretty good party cuz we're not shooting each other except ghetto morons and right and left wants them in jail .

We need dour right wingers for comic relief, you need annoying pinkos so you can feel outrage, can't we all just get along? [Image: banana.gif][Image: banana.gif]

Hey, when I see ISIS assholes pushing gay guys off rooftops, I think "Man, there aren't many right wing gun nuts humorless enough to do THAT. Let them have all the 1911s they want, they're not so bad!"

I agree with you, but among the reasons guns protect freedom is that gay guys can be strapped, too: to prevent them from being thrown off the roof.

The prospect of technological tyranny very strong right now. Widespread gun possession is worth the cost in individual violence in order to prevent worse state violence.

A Government of Wolves: The Emerging American Police State

A trend towards totalitarianism might only be broken by the possibility or reality of armed resistance. I am not talking about now, but a few years into the future.
