A man (who has not had any surgery to give him the appearance of being a woman), Avery Edison is upset because, after being arrested in Canada for a visa overstay, she was placed in a private cell at a men's jail.

But never fear! He thinks a mistake has been made because his passport "confirms" that he is a woman, despite having balls and a swinging dick.

“Even if I should be put in prison, I’m a woman and I should be in a women’s prison,” a physically and emotionally drained Edison told the Toronto Star through a glass barrier in an enclosed visiting room.

Edison tweeted throughout the entire ordeal. Her tweets below describe her detention at Pearson before being transported to the prison.

Edison received word that she would be kept in solitary because she is pre-operative MTF (male to female).

Yes, on Metafilter you have to indicate your allegiance to liberal orthodoxy with extreme care, or face their outrage--there are huge screaming matches about whether there should be a space or not between "trans" and "man." Some people get very upset if you refer to someone as a "transman."

If it wasn't for the fact that trannies are a tiny percent of the population(0.3% in U.S) I'd be real concerned about it as well.
