Top Gear returned tonight - cut down to three hosts, Matt LeBlanc (I've always like this guy, blue pill TV shows or not), Chris Harris (I have previously seen and enjoyed some of his car tests on YouTube, motoring journalist and race driver) and Rory Reid (never heard of him, motoring journalist).

I completely skipped last season after all the horrible things I heard about it - not least the main host who thankfully left.

First episode of the new season was pretty good, quite a lot like old Top Gear and already pretty decent chemistry between the three hosts, although some of the jokes felt forced.
The Grand Tour wasn't exactly perfect through it's entire first season run either, particularly with the silly celebrity braincrash segment that would have been a nice one-time gag that they instead ran into the ground over the entire season.

Was it the same one I watched? They went to Kazakhstan.

I have to say, it was certainly an improvement. The dynamic was curious, but overall very enjoyable.

Leblanc's a cool character and had some zingy one liners. I enjoyed it.

As a U.K. Resident. Who may not pay TV license (cause fuck the BBC) how can I watch it without having terrible sound quality?

The same way as the rest of the world who can't wait for local channels or Netflix to catch up - torrents. Not sure if you can find it with surround sound (assuming it's airing like that) but certainly with adequate stereo sound.

They also need to get rid of the American and do a bit more car talk during conversation street. Also they haven't review a lot of cars. I was expecting at least a comparison between the Ferrari 488 and Mclaren 675 LT.

Holy cow I just discovered top gear and I love it.

They go all over the place. Just saw them go to Burma. I guess they get away with being so un politically correct in england.

I've got twenty seasons to catch up on.

Aloha!

Wait until Joey from Friends starts hosting. That's when it gets good.

I saw where he drives the reasonably priced car and wins. Hammond drives a NASCAR pace car while the other two go to China. Its great.

When May, Hammond, and Clarkson did the show my favorite segments were the cheap car challenges.

The most hilarious one was the British Leyland challenge.

Richard Hammond got in a wreck bad enough to be in the Honolulu Star Advertiser.

It says he's OK, but check that car out. It says its some kind of electric supercar.

I just finished all of the Grand Tour episodes.

Its a little on the cornball/goofier side, but still really good.

If you really liked top gear, the opening sequence of the new shoe when clarkson goes to america and the other guys meet him on a highway in mustangs might make you tear up. Its good stuff.

Aloha!
