Vegas Dayclubs

If this belongs in Game, excuse me. What's the deal with Vegas dayclubs? I've had opportunities to go to so many of these but never took them. I bought a ticket to go to one once to see a famous dj, but I didn't make it to Vegas that weekend. When you don't get home until 8 AM the night before, a dayclub doesn't seem like a big deal.

I enjoyed McQueen's article and aspire to that, but I have a lot of questions. I guess the biggest question is getting past the door (clothes) and carrying a bag, wallet, bottles of water, etc. I asked a coatcheck girl at XS once, and she told me they rent lockers.

My biggest reservations are: daylight will ruin my game (I'm not great looking by any means) and getting so hot that I spend WAY too much on drinks.

Again, isn't ROK about maximizing our potentials and building up our weak spots?

I'll talk about Pool Parties, which I frequently do in the summer. I find them much more fun and relaxed than nightclubs. Its easier to talk to people, its easier to make out in the pool than it is in a dance club. Girls are looser, they are wearing less. Its a little harder to extract them though versus nightlife.

A lot of just making out in the pools then the girls get too drunk and just disappear. The problem is that its often a little harder to get out the venue because the girl has to go back and collect her stuff, etc and generally this is where their friends are.

It was easiest at Rehab when you could go in and out, go upstairs and refill your drink bottles, drink in the room, bring people upstairs, etc. I believe they've cracked down on that (and the crowd has gotten worse so I haven't been). When that was the only place in town to do pool parties, it simply did not get better than that. The venue didn't know what they were doing either so I could just buy one plastic bottle of drink, drink it, then go upstairs and refill and come right back down.

I don't take a cell phone. Don't need it. I wear regular board shorts and a plain t-shirt (I've had expensive shirts stolen before), flip flops. If I don't have a daybed or table, I'll just throw them in the bushes. Sun tan lotion is essential as is drinking water so you don't get dehydrated. Waterproof wallet where I put $100-200 cash, card and ID.

As for girls, its not that hard. You just float around the pool and say something stupid to them. I used to come up and splash water in their faces, almost all were receptive. Don't do that so much now though. Just float to a group of girls and talk, you will hardly ever get shut down in a pool, at least in my experiences.

As for burning out, yeah. Its hard to do when you wake up and are still drunk from the night before. But big deal, its vegas, you should have expected it. Drink a few bloody marys until you feel better, always works for me. If its summer, I'll do Nightclub, Pool Party, Nightclub, Pool party every day I'm there. Its harder to recover from the pool party than it is to recover from the nightclubs though. And if you don't want the big pool parties, even small hotel pools like TREASURE ISLAND have a DJ and drunk women.

Its a good place to pipeline though. If you have a table at a club, you tell girls to meet you there later tonight.

I'm intrigued. The Sunday night swim at XS was the greatest.

As I read this, I'm realizing this thread was originally intended to be about pool parties. I just gave it the wrong title.

I've never made it there. DJ Vice Sundays at LAVO is my spot. I should check it out, but usually I have already gone to Encore Beach earlier that day so its a bit repetitive.

I don't do this because I'm the lowbudgetballer. But, were someone interested in Vegas, I could easily see the appeal of the Jack Colton Invasion.
