After watching this documentary I've become a bit more concerned about privacy on the web:

I can only assume that some of you guys have taken measures to protect your level of internet privacy and identity. With the increasing levels of identity theft and the pervasive presence of online social networks, it is becoming increasingly hard to protect oneself. In a sense, we may all become celebrities, but not in a good way.
Anyone have negative experiences with privacy invasion and/or proactively done things to protect themselves online? The only things I can think of besides good anti-virus control is to not use the web and get off facebook.
