Her humble background came into play when she was vice president for global human resources, where she was charged with making GM a less buttoned-down place to work -- literally. She booted some of the company's more onerous dress codes and has been seen wearing dark nail polish, popular among younger women but not as easily embraced by older ones.

Too bad. I was considering a Cadillac CTS for some time. Think I'll remove that as a consideration just out of principle...

Just imagine what a shitstorm you'd draw to yourself if you said that in public... whereas women are free to boycott any company for being fat-shaming, cis-gender-insensitive and whatnot, as we have seen countless times before.

Hence doing it out of principal. The new CTS may have gotten rave reviews but if I'm going to drop 50-60k on a ride in the future, I'll spend that money with a company that keeps men calling the shots. Just the way god intended.

VP of human resources...this is insane; though it now paves the way for the purely idiotic. Which sports league is going to have the first female commissioner now? Maybe the NFL and they can wear pink all year long.
I can also see the next round of commercials, Howie Long in some commercial where his wife steals his truck keys and goes muddin with the girls. He thinks someone stole the truck and she brings it back all muddy and throws the keys at him and says it needs a wash or some bullshit.
